LoL League of Legends – How to get on the League of Legends PBE server!

Soon, the new patch will be released, and with it, interesting changes will find their way into the game. Usually this is the case every two weeks, but don’t you have enough of reading patch notes and downloading the update as soon as possible? Well, then the Public Beta Environment (PBE) is just the thing for you!

In the following article we will explain everything you need to know, from the requirements you need to meet to the installation itself. So – let’s take a look!

Participation in the PBE server

First of all, of course, you need to visit the Riot Games website. There is a separate page for signing up to the PBE server and there you will first need to log in with your normal Riot ID. Don’t worry because of the North America abbreviation in the web address, also we EUW-Scrubs can get a place in the beta there. So – log in and that’s the first step.

These are the requirements for your account

Maybe for some the dream of a PBE server is already over. Riot will check the account you are using on the public server. To start this check, you need to click on the “Check my eligibility” box. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it works, because there are certain requirements that could prevent you from participating in the beta.

If you have an active ban at the time of your registration, you will not be able to participate in the beta. Likewise, Honor Level 3 is a prerequisite for successful registration. As you can see, only if you are good will Riot allow you to play on the test server! Finally, scan your ID card and send it to… little joke, once you have cleared these hurdles, you can continue.

After the successful registration three text fields will open. There you can set the password and your username for the PBE account. Don’t be surprised that you don’t have to enter an e-mail address, the access to the test server is connected to your main account.

Once you have set your login details, you are ready to download the PBE client, either for Mac or Windows. The download is about 11 gigabytes and should start automatically.

Access to the server

So, are you excited about the new Rengar rework or the rune that’s coming to the game instead of Ravenous Hunter? Well, on the PBE server you can test everything beforehand. If you still have League of Legends or the Riot client open, it’s best to close them briefly.

Then open the installer for the client, select the installation path and click on “Install”. If you get error messages in the Riot Client, log out completely and log in again with your PBE login data. You know you did everything right when you can only select the PBE server in the client and not the normal League.

Then you just have to wait until the trial version of LoL has finished downloading and off you go! Hopefully our little guide helped a bit and you are always up to date with the latest changes in the game!
