League of Legends continues the tradition of publishing patch notes this Thursday. And this time, it’s mainly the bot lane that gets tweaked. Here are the most important buffs and nerfs.
The complete overhaul of Volibear will finally make its way into Summoner’s Rift in Patch 10.11.

The most important buffs
LoL Patch 10.11 has buffed a handful of champions, notably including:
- Fiddlesticks
- Gangplank
- Hecarim
- Kai’Sa
- Lux
“Fiddlestick’s Q passive was given something that feels like a natural mechanic to enforce his identity as the scariest scarecrow – while adding some general creepiness.”
In addition to these creepy Fiddlesticks BUffs, the changes to Kai’Sa, Hecarim, and Gangplank are particularly interesting and definitely worth a pick in-game from now on. The coolest change, however, is Fiddlesticks: his Q, Terrify, which Fiddlesticks can now use to scare enemies…. Boooo!
But we should also take a closer look at Gangplank: With the changes to Gangplank’s attack speed from 0.658 to 0.69 in patch 10.11, a faster barrel combo is possible. In addition, it gives the opportunity for a new item selection, Zeal, to make his equipment more critical and let him hit much harder. The catch is that Riot Games has finally fixed the bug that Gangplank’s barrels no longer combine attack bonus Sheen damage when chained together. So no more OP damage in the late game.
A simple tip here would be to build Gankgplank around attack speed while maximizing his damage potential in the late game to ensure tons of damage.
Hecarim is now a champion we haven’t had on our radar in a while. Hecarim’s Q, Rampage, has been increased in terms of total base damage from 55/95/135/175/215 to 60/102/144/186/228. What does this mean? Well, just as you would normally take your Q when starting in the jungle, this allows for a higher damage output for clearing Waves and making plays.
The most important nerfs
On the side of nerfs, some heroes were also considered, including the following:
- Graves
- Janna
- Syndra
- Talon
Graves is now literally the bottom of the barrel: the reduction from 1.0 bonus attack damage to now 0.8 bonus attack damage will significantly affect his appearance in Summoner’s Rift, but it’s not drastic enough to affect higher levels of play.
Riot Games has throttled Talon’s Q by increasing the mana cost and reducing the amount of healing it gives Talon. Right now Talon has been keeping his cool in the higher Elo ranks, so much so that players were starting to get annoyed playing against him all the time. It’s nice to see Riot adjusting their meta with the community in mind as well….
ADCs get more “quality of life”
A variety of ADCs are getting base health boosts and base health growth over time with patch 10.11, allowing them to rely a little less on their supporters and dare to make bolder moves.
