What is the Rocket Pass?
The Rocket Pass is a progression system limited to a certain period of time that lets you unlock new content in Rocket League. The Battle Pass is always available for as long as the respective – Season lasts in the game. Each new – Season and the rewards correspond to a special theme. It’s also worth mentioning that the Rocket Pass doesn’t replace the previous experience system, but runs parallel to it.

Free or Premium: This is how much Rocket Pass costs
Rocket Pass is offered in a free and a premium version. The price of Rocket Pass Premium is 1000 credits. 1100 credits is available for 9.10 euros on all supported platforms. The two passes differ in scope as follows:
- Free Rocket Pass: Contains rewards that are automatically unlocked. You have the possibility to get new cosmetic items for cars, player banners, in-game titles and anthems for free.
- Rocket Pass Premium: Offers more additional content such as cosmetic items, bodies, premium banners and premium titles, avatar frames, goal explosions and more. Furthermore, you’ll get XP boosts that multiply your earned experience points and XP awards that allow you to level up your Rocket Pass faster. At some levels you’ll also get smaller amounts of credits. If you play diligently, the next Rocket Pass might finance itself.
Both passes are available to all players on all platforms. The rewards from the free Rocket Pass and the pro rewards (items level 70 and above) are tradable. The premium rewards cannot be traded.
Tip
If you are not sure whether you should buy a Rocket Pass Premium in “Rocket League”, you can start with the free version, because it can be easily upgraded to the Premium variant. You can already see the additional content before you buy it. When you upgrade, you won’t lose any content or progress, and you’ll directly get all the premium items you’re entitled to at your current level.
Classes and Professional Classes – How the Level System Works
Whenever you level up in Rocket League, your so-called class in Rocket Pass also increases. The more classes you reach, the more rewards you unlock. By completing weekly challenges, you can earn additional experience (XP) and level up faster. Players with free Rocket Pass get three new challenges every week, and Rocket Pass Premium owners get six. Alternatively, you can speed up the leveling up of the pass by buying more classes with real money.

Once you have earned all classes in Rocket Pass Premium, you can try your hand at the pro classes. For each pro class, you will receive a randomly painted and/or certified version of an already unlocked item from the Premium Rocket Pass.
Notes
Until you complete the full set of all paint jobs and certifications, you will not be able to get duplicates in the rewards.
To complete Rocket Pass, Psyonix states a playtime of circa 60 hours, pro classes excluded. Actual playtime may vary depending on skills, use of boosters, or participation in double XP events.
