As is all too often the case with the English Premier League: it doesn’t come cheap. But FIFA Pro Ryan helps you find the EPL bargains in FUT 22.
If you haven’t played FUT mode in FIFA 22 yet, it’s not advisable to start in the English Premier League. The EPL attracts premium cards at best, and you’ll overpay due to the low options for each position to field a rather average team at the end of the day. You’re better off starting out in the Bundesliga or Seria A until you’ve accumulated enough capital. If you can’t get the home country of soccer out of your mind and want to prove yourself there, we should take a closer look at the options.
” Leicester’s new signing, 22 year old striker Patson Daka is a very good choice in the opening stages “
“In the Premier League, Leicester’s new signing, 22-year-old striker Patson Daka will be a very good choice,” said Ryan Pessoa. “I am also personally attracted by Martin Ødegaard, now that he plays for Arsenal. 5-star skills were super important in the last FIFA.”
Especially the attackers, and central defenders from 80 speed, will separate us from many coins. EA seems to be putting a major emphasis on fast central defenders this year, breaking the trend in last year’s meta. Whether this will lower transfer prices remains to be seen.

Ben Godfrey (77, IV) – Everton, Englishman
The increased selection of speedy central defenders in the Premier League this FIFA year, will relieve some of the pressure of absolutely having to sign Liverpool’s Joe Gomez. The latter’s market value will also remain in the absurdly high range, at least for the next few weeks. That’s why we’re looking over to Stanley Park, where another defender with 80+ speed is doing his duty – and hope that he won’t be too expensive.
Christian Pulisic (82, LF) – Chelsea, American.
In terms of the right wing, there is hardly a lack of players in FIFA 22, which is why we’re leaving out Adama Traoré in our list. On the left side, on the other hand, things look more meager. The expensive selection falls on Marcus Rashford, our go-to option is Pulisic. Honestly, despite the loss of Chem, we would be better advised to buy two right wingers and let one play on the left. Study the prices and consider Pulisic.
Daniel James (77, RM) – Leeds United, Welsh.
One of the interchangeable speed merchants on the right in the early database is Dan James. This one will bridge the entire side and serve the ball to the attackers on a silver platter. That’s all he needs to be able to do in this position.
Davinson Sanchez (79, IV) – Spurs, Colombian.
Sanchez will be out cheaper than Joe Gomez, for example, due to his Colombian left and sub-80 speed. Still, he’s a solid option for the key defensive spot.
Diogo Jota (82, LF) – Liverpool, Portuguese.
Jota has been downgraded a bit by EA this year, but those who can live with a sub-90 attacker in speed will be rewarded with a 5-star weak foot. Swap him to the striker position and put a fast player on the left wing instead of him. You should also be able to feel comfortable with him in a 4-3-3 formation. You should bring him in early as he will go up in price due to Liverpool’s continued league strength.

Edouard Mendy (83, TH) – Chelsea, Senegalese
There are actually enough keepers with decent stats in the Premier League, so you don’t have to over-prioritize this at the start. But if you can sign Chelsea’s giant, Edouard Mendy (198cm), you’ll definitely have a few months of peace with the issue.
Emerson Royal (79, RV) – Spurs, Brazilian
He’s not the fastest, but at the start of the meta that’s hardly a factor, and as a tall defender, opposing crosses shouldn’t cause him any problems.
Ibrahima Konaté (78, IV) – Liverpool, Frenchman.
Although not the fastest either, we expect Konaté to go up in price due to his Liverpool-France link. If he picks up a Team of the Week card, he’ll be even more expensive.
Lucas (81, RM) – Spurs, Brazilian.
The Brazilian winger may not be as highly rated as he was in previous FIFA iterations, but he’s still lightning quick. Due to his (former) popularity, he’ll still be an attractive choice for many, which is why he’ll definitely be a bit more expensive for a starter team. With 4 stars in Skills as well as weak foot, he is also perfect in striker positions.
Martin Ødegaard (82, ZOM) – Arsenal, Norwegian.
Arsenal went to great lengths to sign Ødegaard permanently (after a – Season on loan from Real Madrid). Not without reason, if you want to control your attacks from central midfield, he is highly efficient here thanks to dribbling strength, passing and 5-star skills.
Rodrigo (79, ZOM) – Leeds United, Spaniard
Rodrigo has yet to show his full potential in the Premier League, but he should make a solid striker for your start. With the right chem style, you can still increase his speed enough to get him in front of goal in time.
Saúl Niguez (82, ZM) – Chelsea, Spaniard
The Atletico Madrid loanee has yet to set off any fireworks in the Premier League, but that shouldn’t put you off. Saúl is a balanced player with a 4-star weak foot who will serve you well from penalty area to penalty area.
Sergio Reguilón (81, LV) – Spurs, Spaniard

Patrick van Aanholt’s move to Galatasaray has somewhat narrowed the choice of fast left-backs. That’s why Sergio Reguilón is a bit more expensive than usual, but the former Real Madrid player will serve you well in the long run.
Steven Bergwijn (80, LM) – Spurs, Dutchman
EA may have given the central defenders a boost in speed, but the wingers are still waiting for it, at least in the Premier League. The Dutch attacker should still make a solid winger and also build enough traction towards goal thanks to his dribbling ability.
Thomas Partey (83, ZM) – Arsenal, Ghanaian
Everyone wants Ngolo Kanté for the midfield in the Premier League, but Arsenal’s midfield wall will do a good job in the early stages of the game and also provide more attacking options than many of his colleagues.
