Do you regularly play the Squad Battles in Ultimate Team to get the rewards? We’ll help you do better with these tips!
With Squad Battles, EA Sports has already integrated a new FIFA Ultimate Team game mode into FIFA 18. Just like in FUT Champions, you can play your way up the ranks and collect rewards in the form of packs and coins. The big difference is that you won’t be competing against online opponents, but against computer-controlled teams of varying strengths that want to give you a hard time on your way to the elite rank.
Especially for players who don’t have the time to play 20 matches on the weekend or fail to qualify for the FUT Champions Finals, the Squad Battles are a great alternative to get a strong team faster by earning rewards. So that you know what is important in the Squad Battles, we have a few tips for you. You want to know how to win as many prizes as possible in the Squad Battles in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team? Then we recommend you to read on!

The difficulty level is crucial
You have a choice: do you prefer to play on a low or high difficulty level against the CPU teams? For example, if you choose Amateur or Semi-Pro, you won’t be able to score nearly as many points as if you choose World Class or Legend. This means that the higher the difficulty level in the games, the faster you can climb the ranks with victories.
But watch out: If you lose a match, you’ll hardly get any points. Therefore, our tip: Don’t overestimate yourself and play on the difficulty level on which you think you can win. At the same time, you should not choose a difficulty level on which you regularly win by a landslide. In that case, it’s better to play on a higher level.
Also, if you’re barely winning against teams with an overall strength of 80, think twice before choosing the same difficulty level for a squad with an overall strength of 85. The CPU teams are not to be underestimated and have some nice moves, especially on high difficulty levels!

Mistakes can be even more deadly than online
Also important to know: Playing against CPU-controlled teams is completely different than playing against online opponents. Some of the teams use different defenses and attacks than the ones you’re familiar with from Weekend League or Online – Season matches. You’ll notice that your opponents hardly make any mistakes defensively, while at the same time they take advantage of your mistakes in attack.
As soon as you give a player on the flank too much space, he will often hit a very dangerous cross into the penalty area. If you move out too far with the central defender, the CPU will immediately play a pass into the area. And once the CPU striker is in front of your goal, he usually doesn’t let himself miss the chance to score.
Of course, you’ll notice this more often on higher difficulty levels than on a lower one. All in all, however, it is incredibly important to be highly concentrated for the entire 90 virtual minutes of the game, even in Squad Battles. Even a moment of inattention can cost you victory and points. This doesn’t just apply to online games in any game mode!
Don’t shift down a gear when you’re leading
Even if you are already leading by two or three goals in a Squad Battle: Don’t stop giving 100 percent! Your skill value and the goals you score will also earn you points, which can ultimately determine which rank you achieve.
Online, it might be a good idea to adjust your style of play a bit depending on the score in order to keep a slim lead. In Squad Battles, however, you can’t win high enough. Also, make sure you have a good passing rate and have a lot of possession. This will increase your skill value.
Now it’s up to you: Take our tips to heart, sweep the CPU squads off their feet, and win some big prizes! We wish you much success.
