Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Lucifer, the Doom, is a strength hero from DotA and Dota 2. As a melee hero, he is characterized by a great strength but also a very low speed. He belongs to the Dire faction. In the game, Doom can take on the role of a Durabler, Carrys and Nukers. Doom can Devour enemy or neutral creeps, allowing him to accumulate a large amount of gold relatively quickly while taking on up to two abilities of a neutral creep. Scorched Earth makes enemy units around Doom take damage for a while, while he himself moves and regenerates faster through the ability. The ability LVL? Death stuns enemies for a very short time and adds random damage depending on the number of health points they have and their current level. Doom’s Ultimate ability of the same name curses an enemy Hero, causing them to take a great deal of damage over a short period of time, preventing their abilities and the use of items on their behalf. If Aghanim’s Scepter is in Doom’s possession, the damage and duration from his Ultimate are increased. Additionally, the duration of the ultimate does not expire while Doom is near his victim.

One way or another, Doom shuts down his enemies. Devouring creeps to claim the various skills they had in life, he can place a lingering silence upon a foe’s spells and items with his ultimate as he torches his foes.
