Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
Underlord: “I come from the darkness of the pit.”
Vrogros, the Underlord, is a strength hero from DotA and Dota 2. In the game, Underlord can take the role of a Carry, Disabler and Durabler. He is a melee unit of the Dire. Underlord’s first ability Firestorm adds damage to enemy units in an area of effect and deals additional damage to them over time. Via Pit of Malice, Vrogos can summon a pit that damages and temporarily immobilizes enemy units if they step into the area of the summoned pit. His third ability, Atrophy Aura, reduces the physical damage of enemy units within his radius by a percentage and grants him a temporary damage bonus for each enemy that dies near him. In doing so, Underlord gains a larger bonus to enemy heroes. With his Ultimate Dark Rift, Vrogos, along with surrounding allied heroes, can teleport to an allied unit on the map. During the summoning, the teleportation can be canceled or ends automatically when the target unit dies.
Underlord- Hype
Summon waves of demonic flames to sacrifice the enemies paralyzed by your vicious grip. Feast on the carnage of battle and gain strength as your enemies perish around you, as their attacks are weakened by your mere presence. Open a rift in reality itself to teleport yourself and your teammates across the map and wreak bloody vengeance on those who defy the will of Vrogos the Underlord.
Underlord- Biography
Neither myths nor songs exist to tell of their coming.
Deep beneath the surface of the world lie unknown wonders and terrors. Below and still below, beside the slithering magma fields and the boiling roots of slumbering volcanoes, lies the obsidian city of Aziyog. Its peerless masonry encloses an endless cavern. Within its honeycomb walls, built with the bones of countless slaves, lies the territory of the Abyss Horde and their brutal underlord, Vrogros.
Equipped by monstrous master smiths and versed in the arts of the dark chasm, Vrogros is able to conjure flames and crippling malice through the winding between worlds. He strives to expand his holdings ever further, destroying or enslaving anything that gets in his way. But because the subterranean realm offers little land, his sights have turned upward. At his command, the first waves of abysmal invaders have already marched through the Rift – a few doomed legions merely to test the might of the upper nations. Now, with all his power unleashed for the never-ending conquest, Vrogros himself steps into a sunlit world to announce his coming reign. Those who encounter the underlord will either bow and pay tribute or be crushed on the spot.
