The new heroine had been announcing the light snowfall in-game for days. Now it’s clear: Mei from Overwatch is coming to the Heroes of the Storm Hero Pool. snow in summer?
How would you say in Game of Thrones? Mei is coming. Because the literally cool heroine from Overwatch will be the latest addition to Heroes of the Storm. Somehow one could have expected that. It’s been snowing in-game of the Blizzard MOBA for days. Sure, something has to come with snow – and Mei fits in there perfectly, as an icy heroine. A few hours ago it became official, Blizzard announced it with a spotlight video:
Mei in Heroes of the Storm: Abilities
As the newest tank in Heroes of the Storm, Mei’s abilities are similar to her playstyle in Overwatch. Her Blizzard Attack serves as her W ability in HotS, while Ice Wall (R2) can be used as one of her powerful hero abilities – a wall of ice that freezes heroes and/or keeps them at bay. All in all, she’s a very good tank who can freeze herself with D to protect herself from damage, slow enemies, and even move – with her other R1 ultimate, Avalanche , she rolls over enemies with a giant snowball that hits anyone taking heroes. In addition, the climate scientist is a must-have for all Fridays for Future followers. Here is all her gear from the Heroes of the Storm PTR patch:

- Encases Mei in a block of ice, granting 1,104 shield points that quickly decay. Shield becomes Unstoppable and restores 35% of maximum Health.
- Cooldown: 40 sec

- Snow Blindness (Q)
- Throws a snowball that hits all enemies in an area. Deals 70 damage to enemies hit, Slowing them by 35% and Blinding them for 1.5 seconds.
- Kosten: 35 Mana
- Cooldown: 10 sec
- Blizzard (W)
- Commands Snowy to create a blizzard at the target location for 2 seconds. Enemies in the area of effect take 13 damage every 0.25 seconds and are slowed by 7%, up to a maximum of 35%. After the blizzard ends, enemies in the area take an additional 75 damage and are stunned for 1.25 seconds.
- Kosten: 70 Mana
- Cooldown: 14 sec
- Freeze (E)
- Quickly slides in target direction. Knocks back nearby enemies, dealing 52 damage and slowing them by 80% when the effect ends. The slow wears off over 1.5 seconds.

Heroic Abilities
- Avalanche (R1)
- After 0.5 seconds, launch a giant snowball that sweeps enemy heroes along in its path. At the target location, it disintegrates and releases swept heroes, dealing 220 damage and stunning them for 0.5 seconds per swept hero.
- Kosten: 70 Mana
- Cooldown: 65 sec.
- Eiswall (R2)
- After a 0.75 second delay, create an impassable ice wall that imprisons hit heroes for 2.5 seconds. Upon expiration, captured heroes are slowed by 75%. The slow wears off over 3 seconds.
- Kosten: 60 Mana
- Cooldown: 90 sec

step 1
- Compressed Charge (Q)
- Increases the duration of Snow Blind’s slow by 100%. Reduces the cooldown of Snow Blindness by 0.125 seconds each time Blizzard damages an enemy Hero.
- Eissturm (W)
- Every 3rd Blizzard hero hit deals 45 more damage. Increases final stun damage by 125% against all enemies.
- Heat transfer (Passive)
- Increases Basic Attack damage against Rooted, Stunned, or Slowed Heroes by 33%. Heals Mei for 18 Health each time she Stuns or Slows an enemy Hero.
Level 4
- Slush Ice (Q)
- Snow Blindness deals 50% more damage and disables structures for 3 seconds.
- Kaltfront (E)
- Reduces the cooldown of Freeze by 7 seconds and grants 50 Mana if Mei enters her own blizzard while Freeze is active.
- Crystallize (Trait)
- Reduces the cooldown of Cryostasis by 15 sec. Grants 50 Spell Armor for 2 sec while in Cryostasis.

- Initiate Hibernation (W)
- Reduces damage dealt by enemy Heroes in the Blizzard’s area of effect by 40%. Extends the effect for an additional 4 seconds on enemy heroes that are in the area of effect when the blizzard ends.
- Slide Away (E)
- After Freeze expires, Mei and nearby allies gain 50 physical armor for 3 seconds and increase their movement speed by 20%.
- Spare Battery (Active)
- Activate to remove all snares and roots and regenerate 20% of maximum health over 2 seconds. Regeneration Orbs reduce the cooldown of this ability by 10 seconds.

- Snow flurry (W)
- Increases attack speed by 50% and increases Blizzard cooldown by 75% while Mei is in the area of effect. Increases the duration of these bonuses by 3 seconds if Mei is in the area of effect when the blizzard ends.
- Cooling Servos (Trait)
- Basic Attacks slow the target by 20% for 1.5 seconds. During Cryostasis, all basic abilities cool down 200% faster.
- Polar Vortex (Passive)
- After using abilities, Mei deals 24 damage every second to nearby enemies for 4 seconds. Decreases enemy Heroes’ attack and movement speed by 20% when they take damage from this effect.

- Powder Snow (Q)
- Snow Blind gains a second charge and range is increased by 33%.
- Black Ice (E)
- Freeze’s slow effect no longer wears off over its duration. Freezing deals 300% more damage to very close enemies.
- Acclimatization (Passive)
- Increases damage dealt and healing received by 1% each time Mei Slows or Stuns an enemy Hero. This effect stacks up to 20 times and grants an additional 10 Armor at maximum stacks. Lasts 8 seconds.
level 20
- Cascade (R1)
- Decreases the Avalanche’s cooldown by 25 seconds. The Avalanche launches a volley of base Snow Blindness snowballs in front of it as it travels.
- Smash (R2)
- After the Ice Wall expires, trapped Heroes deal 210 damage and reduce their Armor by 25 for 5 seconds.
- The Full Charge (Q)
- Every 15 sec, increases the area of your next Snow Blindness by 66% and increases damage by 200%.
- Flash Freeze (Trait)
- Instantly activates cryostasis whenever Mei would take fatal damage. This effect has one
And another piece of good news: Mei comes with the above fancy skins. So she’s ready to storm the hero pool of Heroes of the Storm.
All other PTR patch notes are available directly from Blizzard. But Mei as a new addition is arguably the best in the Heroes of the Storm universe for a long time. Even if you can ask yourself: Why does a snow hero come in summer? Maybe to cool off a bit?

As really cool – so you could title the new Overwatch skins. Because Blizzard Entertainment has really put a lot of effort this time and gifted the community with new cosmetics.
The OverwatchEcent Archives is in full swing. And once again, it takes us back to the original Overwatch team that used to fight in the streets of King’s Row against the rebellion started by the Null Sector. We also remember eight years ago when we took control of Blackwatch, a terrorist organization bent on destruction. But besides all the nostalgia, there’s something else that makes this event: the Archives skins. Here comes the top 5 of the best Cosmetics.
5th Place: Zarya’s “Workout.”
Giving us a bit of workout reality is Zarya’s “Workout” skin at #5. At a young age, Zarya identified a lot with athletics and here she shows that she’s a tough woman. But we honestly expected something more from the professional weightlifter. Still, the skin turned out quite nice.
4th Place: Roadhog’s “Militia” Look
Blizzard has done a good job of mixing the scout and military outfits, so Roadhog’s “Militia” skin lands in 4th place. We especially love the patches attached to the dungarees, but this skin isn’t as colorful and fancy as, say, other skins in the ranking. For that, it gets a solid 4th place.
3rd place: Junkrats “King Jamison
Majestic and bold in 3rd place is Junkat’s “King Jamison” skin. After being banished from Junkertown by the queen, he’s back and presents himself as a real eye-catcher that the queen would be jealous of. We were taken with the golden leg, but so much potential was lost with the rather plain shirt. That’s why Junkrat only makes it to number 3.
2nd place: Pharah’s “Aviator” style
Lieutenant Fareeha “Pharah” comes flying in at number two, in a stunning look that should wow anyone. The aviator sunglasses plus jetpack give her a thematically badass appearance that still makes her look cool and beautiful.
1st Place: Ana’s “Sniper” Skin.
Ana breathes new life into us with her “Sniper” skin and is unrivaled our No. 1 spot. During the Omnic crisis in her earlier years, Ana slayed the Omnics in this color stunning outfit. Her red scarf, headset and many other smaller accessories add the finishing touches to the skin that have us excited.
