In this second segment of Episode 3, #LeagueofLegends Lead VO Designer Julian Samal details the qualities that make for great VO in a highly competitive interactive live-service MOBA and the framework and criteria we use to achieve that.

#LeagueofLegends Champion – Marksman Varus.

One of the ancient darkin, Varus was a deadly killer who loved to torment his foes, driving them almost to insanity before delivering the killing arrow. He was imprisoned at the end of the Great Darkin War, but escaped centuries later in the remade flesh of two Ionian hunters—they had unwittingly released him, cursed to bear the bow containing his bound essence. Varus now seeks out those who trapped him, in order to enact his brutal vengeance, but the mortal souls within still resist him every step of the way.

#LeagueofLegends Teams – Fnatic.

Fnatic and Dota 2 have always had a difficult relationship with each other. If you were to ask a non-Dota connoisseur how Fnatic is doing, the answer would be unequivocal: “Somewhere upstairs”. The reality therefore seems much more unreal, Fnatic has not yet had a podium success in Dota. Only a second place at the DreamLeague Season 9 and the DOTA Summit 8 are worth mentioning at all.
