There are some skin tiers in League of Legends that are really not cheap. Today we’re going to take a look at all the Ultimate Skins that have ever been released by Riot Games.

Riot Games has brought us thousands and thousands of Champion Skins. Some of them are extremely expensive, others are totally rare and many are no longer available. For those who want to feel really prominent, Riot has also brought Prestige Skins that you can only buy with Prestige Points.

So you already know, there are quite a lot of skins in League of Legends. That is, they also differed in terms of price. The keywords here are legendary skins, epic skins and ultimate skins. But how do they differ? Let’s take a look at that today. So, sit back, the journey begins. Today we’re going to take a look at the most valuable skins of all – Ultimate Skins.

What are Ultimate Skins in League of Legends?

We already mentioned it above: Ultimate Skins describe the most expensive skins currently available in League of Legends. These skins take much longer to develop and usually have some cool feature. However, the latter might change with the new Ultimate Skins, if we are to believe a Riot blog post from 2020.

There are very few Ultimate Skins in League of Legends. After all, they also take a bit more love to create. With these skins, “we want players to feel like we [Riot Games] created something really special for them,” says Riot Belissimoh.

Don’t confuse legendary skins with ultimate skins. Dark Cosmic Jhin has a fancy animation and a beautiful ultimate, but he is also just a legendary. Riot has designed a solid skin that fits perfectly into the Dark Cosmic theme. That’s not what Ultimate Skins are about.

Ultimate Skins are released extremely rarely, precisely because they require extra development work, time and creativity. Currently there are only six Ultimate Skins in League of Legends. So just because you like Lee Sin or Aurelion Sol doesn’t mean they necessarily need Ultimate Skins.

Pulsefire Ezreal – 3250 RP

Pulsfire Ezreal was the first Ultimate Skin ever released, back in 2012 – and to this day it’s still the most popular Ezreal Skin. And just like other Ultimate Skins, this one only costs 3250 Riot Points (RP), so what makes it so unique and special? What makes it the Ultimate Skin. It doesn’t really blow me away visually.

The Puslfire Ezreal skin has four different shapes. These are unlocked throughout the game as you level up his Ultimate. Ezreal’s armor gets much more detailed as the game goes on, and the skin also gets a few new voice lines, textures, and animations added to it. Pulsfire-Ezreal, by the way, was reworked in 2018 to keep up with the standard of the new skins.

Spirit Guard Udyr – 3250 RP

The second Ultimate Skin ever released is Spirit Guard Udyr. At first glance, there doesn’t seem to be much different here, but watch out! Spirit Guard Udyr also has multiple forms and is very changeable. The theme runs through the Ultimate skins a bit, huh? The skin also got a rework in 2020. About time Udyr got in on that. We’re expecting in VFX update in 2022, then this Ultimate Skin should be really rad again.

There are 5 different variations of Spirit Guard Udyr. All of them are related to his different shapes: Tiger, Turtle, Bear, Phoenix and of course the Base form. If we look at the planned rework, it seems that Riot got a bit of inspiration from this skin.

DJ Sona – 3250 RP

DJ Sona came out in 2015 and has a total of 3 forms to play in. With each form, a new song sounds the gap: aggressive, kinetic and ethereal. All you need is the following key combination: /toggle, /g or CTRL+5/CTRL+7. This will change the shape you are playing in.

Each form gives Sona a different look and different sounds of her abilities. The skin is definitely at the top of the popularity scale by now. Only Arcane Sona comes above it.

Elementalist Lux – 3250 RP

This is another one of the skins on our “list of the most expensive things that don’t exist in the real world”. Why? There was an extended edition for this skin at release for 3950 RP. That’s no longer available in the store, so I guess you’ll have to settle for the 3250 copy. Too bad.

But what makes Elementalist Lux so cool? Again – There are a lot of different forms you can choose from. Ezreal had 4, Udyr had 5, and Sona had 3. Elementalist Lux has 10 different forms that you can access through combinations.

How do you do it? Simple, you first log in the Elementalist Lux in the Champion Select. When you attack your opponent in the game, you get stacks. Once you have enough stacks, you can select an element. Then you continue playing and when you have collected enough stacks again, you can combine the first element with a second one. This can happen as follows:

• Magma – Fire + Nature
• Storm – Fire + Air
• Mystic – Water + Nature
• Ice – Water + Air
• Dark – Nature + Air OR Water + Fire

You can choose two elements to create a third form. So unfortunately it doesn’t work like Sona where you can just click through the songs. But this skin is still probably one of the coolest skins Riot has ever created. And one of the most expensive.

Gun Goddess Miss Fortune – 2275 RP

Gun Goddess Miss Fortune is the only Ultimate Skin that is not worth 3250 Riot Points. The skin is a bit cheaper and was also released only in 2018. And – you can already guess – Gun Goddess Miss Fortune has several forms you can choose from. 4 in number: Scarlet Fair, Zero Hour, Royal Arms and Starswam.

Unlike DJ Sona, where you can easily switch between songs, in Gun Goddess Miss Fortune you can only do this in Base. This is similar to Elementalist Lux, where you can also only switch in Base. However, Miss Fortune doesn’t have to collect stacks beforehand, but can change every time she visits home.

K/DA All Out Seraphine

K/DA All Out Seraphine is the newest Ultimate Skin in the Riot Client, so it also just came out in 2020 along with Seraphine herself at Worlds 2020. The skin also has multiple forms showing her various artist stages as a K/DA member.

She starts as an indie star making music online and eventually becomes a pop sensation. The different stages of the skin can’t be selected just like that. Players have to complete certain missions to take Seraphine to the next musical level. The whole thing goes hand in hand with the story that was shown on social media and that Riot picked up in a comic before its release.

The whole concept is unique, even though DJ Sona is a very musical skin. With the Ultimate Skins, Riot is trying to take the skin world to a whole new level. Champion skin

Champion skin (or skin for short) refers to the color scheme or appearance of a champion. Most champion skins can be purchased in the Riot Shop with Riot Points, while others are/were only available for special events/promotions.
