Summer Games 2019

The Summer Games are back! Now you can prove your competitive spirit in – Season 3 of Copa Lúcioball and cool off with legendary skins like Bathing Tobjörn, Surfing Hanzo, and Kendoka Genji. You can unlock these and many more extras in addition to – Season al extras from previous years!

New Feature: Subtitles

You can choose between 3 levels of subtitles: Game Relevant Only, Game Relevant + Conversations Only, or Everything. We have developed this new feature to improve the game experience for players with limited hearing – and of course for fans of subtitles.

UPDATES FOR THE WORKSHOP

General

• Scripters now have the ability to measure the server performance of the current game instance.
• There are three new values for this purpose:
• Server Load – Shows the CPU usage of the current game instance as a percentage.
• Server Load Average – Shows the average CPU load of the current game instance during the last 2 sec. in percent.
• Server Load Peak – Shows the highest CPU load of the current game instance during the last 2 sec. in percent.
• Values of 100 or more increase the likelihood that the game instance will terminate because it is consuming too many resources.
• A new template example displays these values as HUD text in the upper left corner of the screen. The rule in this template can be copied into other scripts to track down areas with performance problems.
• If a game instance is terminated due to excessive usage by Workshop scripts, a new error message is now displayed in the chat window (instead of the “unexpected error” message).
• Additional strings have been added.

CORRECTED ERRORS

General

• Fixed a bug where the hero selected during hero selection was sometimes not selected at the beginning of the deployment phase.
• In spectator mode, hit points and armor are now displayed in the order in which they are consumed when damage is taken, as they should be.
• Colorblind Mode – Fixed a bug that caused the wrong default colors to be used in the UI for target points. This depended on whether only 1 color set was selected for colorblind players when attacking or defending.
• Orisa’s superbooster, Baptiste’s life support field, and Ashe’s own dynamite are now valid targets for the aim assist.

Workshop

• Fixed a bug where Set Invisible did not work as intended on Reinhardt when using Secondary Fire Mode in Pursuit Perspective.
• Custom Game: Fixed a bug where AI bots on the Oasis – University map would sometimes get stuck on the way to the objective point.
• [Disable Built-In Game Mode Respawning] and [Set Respawn Max Time] now work as intended.
• Custom Game: Fixed a bug where Widowmaker’s Giftmine damage was not affected by custom game damage controls.
• Fixed a bug where Controller was not saved as an input device when clearing a rule, action, or condition that was not on the screen.
• Fixed a bug where the error message “Invalid options” was displayed after importing older shared codes for the workshop.
• Disabling certain actions no longer causes an infinite loop.

Replays

• Fixed a bug where the field of view button did not work when viewing replays.
• Fixed a bug where player outlines would disappear when following a player while skipping or fast-forwarding in first-person or chase perspective.
• Fixed a bug that caused on-screen hero effects to persist when jumping forward during a paused replay.

Cards

Hanamura

• Fixed a bug where certain heroes could get stuck in the roof before point B.
• Fixed a bug where some heroes could float between the roofs of buildings near the bottleneck at point A.

Havana (PvP)

• Fixed a bug that allowed defenders to enter the attackers’ starting area (left exit, second attackers’ starting area).

Numbani

• Revised the lighting for highlight intros.

Heroes

Baptiste

• Fixed a bug where Baptiste’s buff matrix did not boost healing effects.

Doomfist

• Fixed a bug where Seismic Strike was not registering.

D.Va

• Fixed a bug that prevented D.Va’s Defensive Matrix from absorbing projectiles behind corners under certain circumstances.

Baptiste

• Fixed a graphical inconsistency on Baptiste’s head that occurred when the Special Unit skin was equipped.

Hanzo

• Fixed a bug where Hanzo’s bow seemed to float above the ground after his death when the skin Kabuki was equipped.

Roadhog

• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused Roadhog’s necklace to not appear in first-person perspective.

Moira

• Fixed a bug where Moira’s coalescence was sometimes not displayed in first-person perspective.
• Fixed a bug where Moira was briefly visible after using Phase Jump.

Sombra

• Fixed a bug that reset the cooldown of Sombra’s Translocator after she was revived.
• Fixed a bug where an enemy could sometimes use an ability when hacked by Sombra while already hacked by EMP.

Torbjörn

• Fixed a bug where Torbjörn could use Molten Core and his hammer at the same time.

Winston

• Fixed a bug where Winston’s nameplate and hit point bar were covered by his body during Jungle Rage.

Wrecking Ball

• Fixed a bug where Wrecking Ball’s mines could be destroyed by an enemy rolling Wrecking Ball without taking damage.

Zenyatta

• Fixed a bug where Zenyatta’s in-game portrait and highlights did not display his Zen-nakji skin.

OVERWATCH

Overwatch is a team-based 6vs6 shooter that was released on May 24, 2016. Overwatch stays true to the true style of Blizzard’s previous titles. It was developed by Jeff Kaplan and is considered a “new concept” shooter in the FPS genre. The game was officially unveiled at BlizzCon along with 12 heroes on November 7, 2014.

The story of Overwatch is set on a highly fictionalized future version of Earth. In a time where humans and robots, which are called Omnics, live together (Chris Metzen hinted that the story deals with this very robot race). 30 years before the time when Overwatch takes place, the so-called “Omnic Crisis ” occurred. The robots, once helpers of humans, rebelled against their creators for reasons as yet unknown and triggered a worldwide chaos. Faced with the imminent destruction of human civilization, the best soldiers of all nations came together to form a program called “Overwatch”.

Their job was to protect the world from the Omnics, which they succeeded in doing. For the next 25 years, they were the protectors of the planet, united in an international coalition. Some agents stayed, some were replaced, but at some point something changed: the Overwatch disintegrated. However, 5 years later after this event, incidents with Omnics are again accumulating, a worldwide terrorist organization also seems interested in destabilizing the world order. A new crisis is looming. At this point, your career as an Overwatch agent begins.
