OVERWATCH ANNIVERSARY 2021
We’re celebrating Overwatch’s fifth anniversary with brand new items, including legendary skins like Funky for Baptiste, Venus for Moira, Sweet tooth for Junkrat, and more! You can participate in weekly Anniversary Challenges to unlock exciting rewards like the skins Cyber Medic for Ana, Bird of Paradise Flower for Echo, and 8-Ball for Wrecking Ball.
If you missed Overwatch events from previous years, you can unlock extras from past events with credits or find them in Lootboxes. Each day, a selection of your favorite – Season al Brawls will be available in the Arcade.

GENERAL UPDATES
Feature update: Voicechat icons for name badges
Name badges now show which team members are currently talking in team or group voicechats. This feature can also be used in match voicechats when enabled in custom matches. The voice chat icon color will match the color of the channel each player is talking in.
Overwatch League away skins (white).
Players who have already earned a Hero’s Overwatch League (Gray) home skin through special promotions in previous years will automatically receive the corresponding Overwatch League (White) away skin for that Hero.

Competitive Deathmatch
– Season 4 for competitive deathmatches has begun! Until June 8, 2021, you can rank up and earn rewards in Ranked FFA Deathmatch mode with 8 players.
CORRECTED ERRORS
General
- Fixed a bug where players on the roster could not be selected with the mouse in replays.
- Fixed a bug where team composition tips were displayed during hero selection in 6v6 game modes without role selection.
- Fixed a bug where the hero selector on Lunar Colony Horizon did not open as intended under certain circumstances.
- Fixed a bug that caused some heroes to not have their skill recharges restored immediately after resurrection.
- Fixed a bug where spells from Lootboxes would not play a waveform when viewed.
Cards
Hanamura
- Fixed a bug where players could get stuck on some parts of the map geometry.
Nepal
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to stand on the bell.
Oasis
- Updated a location so that players can no longer reach it.
Heroes
Baptiste
- Fixed a bug where team members in a disembodied state could be healed by Baptiste’s biotic caster.
- Fixed a bug where the aura of an expired life support field would remain on players when they left the area of effect of the expired field.
Junkrat
- Fixed a bug where Junkrat’s kamikaze tire would teleport to the ground when the ultimate ability was activated on a higher ledge.
- Fixed a bug that caused certain skins to display the default portrait of the kamikaze tire.
Roadhog
- Fixed a bug that caused Roadhog’s tow hook to flicker on low graphics settings when the Toxic skin was equipped.
OVERWATCH
Overwatch is a team-based 6vs6 shooter that was released on May 24, 2016. Overwatch stays true to the true style of Blizzard’s previous titles. It was developed by Jeff Kaplan and is considered a “new concept” shooter in the FPS genre. The game was officially unveiled at BlizzCon along with 12 heroes on November 7, 2014.
The story of Overwatch is set on a highly fictionalized future version of Earth. In a time where humans and robots, which are called Omnics, live together (Chris Metzen hinted that the story deals with this very robot race). 30 years before the time when Overwatch takes place, the so-called “Omnic Crisis ” occurred. The robots, once helpers of humans, rebelled against their creators for reasons as yet unknown and triggered a worldwide chaos. Faced with the imminent destruction of human civilization, the best soldiers of all nations came together to form a program called “Overwatch”.
Their job was to protect the world from the Omnics, which they succeeded in doing. For the next 25 years, they were the protectors of the planet, united in an international coalition. Some agents stayed, some were replaced, but at some point something changed: the Overwatch disintegrated. However, 5 years later after this event, incidents with Omnics are again accumulating, a worldwide terrorist organization also seems interested in destabilizing the world order. A new crisis is looming. At this point, your career as an Overwatch agent begins.
