New – Season al Event: Lunar New Year 2019
Get ready to ring in the Year of the Pig!
We’re celebrating the Lunar New Year 2019 with a flag capture version of the Busan map, – Season 2 of competitive flag capture, and tons of extras! New – Season al extras are just waiting to be unlocked, including legendary skins like Huang Zhong for Hanzo, Lü Bu for Reaper, Guan Yu for Reinhardt, Zhang Fei for Torbjörn, Hong Gildong for Tracer, and Zhuge Liang for Zenyatta.

HELDUPDATES
General
- Armor
- Armor now reduces damage by 3 (previously 5).
Developer Comment: Prior to this change, Armor reduced all damage taken by 5, with a maximum of 50% of damage. With this change, we are reducing that value to 3. The 50% threshold remains. This will have the greatest impact on Heroes whose weapons have a rapid rate of fire or fire multiple shots at once (such as shotguns) and deal more than 6 damage per shot. For example, Soldier: 76’s heavy pulse rifle now deals 16 damage per shot instead of 14 to enemies with armor. That’s an increase of almost 15%.
Armor was a bit too strong overall, especially when Heroes were healed quickly and often. This change will help some heroes stand up to opponents with more armor.
Brigitte
- Fervor
- Now has a maximum duration of 30 sec.
Developer comment: If it was too hard for enemies to deal with the extra hit points granted by Fervor, Brigitte could have already charged her next Fervor in that time. This created a sort of snowball effect. This change gives the effect of Fervor a maximum duration after the initial activation to mitigate such situations.
D.Va
- Defensive Matrix
- The cooldown time has been increased from 1 to 2 sec.
Developer Comment: The longer time between uses of Defensive Matrix should give D.Va’s opponents more opportunities to bypass the ability.
Reaper
- Soul Harvesting
- Life drain increased from 30% to 50% of damage dealt.
Developer comment: Reaper’s passive ability allows him to be aggressive in close combat. This change allows him to build up pressure even better while giving his opponents hell. The extra life drain gives him an advantage against tanks in particular, as they often deal less damage than other heroes and also get more projectiles from the inferno shotguns due to their size.

General
- [PS4/XB1] Fixed a bug that caused heroes equipped with a golden weapon to appear on the victory screen with a delay.
McCree
- [PS4/XB1] Fixed a bug that caused McCree to appear distorted when performing a steppe roll to the right while his skin Sherlock was equipped.
Tracer
- Fixed a bug where Tracer’s pulse bomb exploded on the wrong side of Orisa’s protective barrier when placed on the front.
Wrecking Ball
- Fixed a bug where Wrecking Ball’s proximity mines could not be disarmed by Sombra’s EMP.
- [PS4/XB1] Fixed a bug where Wrecking Ball’s golden weapon would not display as intended when certain skins were equipped.
Ranked Matches
- Fixed a bug where in ranked matches, the team color on the cargo progress bar did not change as intended after a round was completed.
Maps
Nepal
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to capture the shrine’s objective point from outside the building on Nepal.
OVERWATCH
Overwatch is a team-based 6vs6 shooter that was released on May 24, 2016. Overwatch stays true to the true style of Blizzard’s previous titles. It was developed by Jeff Kaplan and is considered a “new concept” shooter in the FPS genre. The game was officially unveiled at BlizzCon along with 12 heroes on November 7, 2014.
The story of Overwatch is set on a highly fictionalized future version of Earth. In a time where humans and robots, which are called Omnics, live together (Chris Metzen hinted that the story deals with this very robot race). 30 years before the time when Overwatch takes place, the so-called “Omnic Crisis ” occurred. The robots, once helpers of humans, rebelled against their creators for reasons as yet unknown and triggered a worldwide chaos. Faced with the imminent destruction of human civilization, the best soldiers of all nations came together to form a program called “Overwatch”.
Their job was to protect the world from the Omnics, which they succeeded in doing. For the next 25 years, they were the protectors of the planet, united in an international coalition. Some agents stayed, some were replaced, but at some point something changed: the Overwatch disintegrated. However, 5 years later after this event, incidents with Omnics are again accumulating, a worldwide terrorist organization also seems interested in destabilizing the world order. A new crisis is looming. At this point, your career as an Overwatch agent begins.
