The long-awaited Episode 3 Act 1 is finally live in Valorant, along with new agent KAY/O. But what about the rest? Who has been generated the most?
The Valorant 3.00 patch was very welcomed by the community. Riot finally added a new agent in KAY/O and even took care of the run and gun problem. In addition, the 3.00 update included numerous balance changes and cost tweaks. Some agents got the short end of the stick and the cost of their strongest abilities was increased, while others were left untouched. In addition, the game’s weapon ecos were also significantly adjusted, with half of the weapons receiving a price reduction.
Who was generated in Valorant Patch 3.00?
Going through the patch notes of Valorant 3.00, we notice that some agents were really generated. Here are the characters that ended up on the wrong side of the patch.
Astra
Astra is the agent that experienced the most severe nerf in Valorant 3.00. Her stars now cost 150 credits instead of 200, but the Gravity Well/Nebula cooldown has been increased from 12 to 25 seconds. This is massive and significantly changes the speed at which you can play Astra. Her kit is already more complex than any other agent, and this nerf only adds salt to the wound.
Breach
It’s really hard to decide whether Breach has become better or worse after patch 3.00 – we would rather guess the latter. The cost of his abilities has been increased significantly. Here are all the changes:
- Aftershock has been increased from 100 credits to 200 credits.
- Flashpoint has been increased from 200 credits to 250 credits.
- Faultline’s cooldown has been increased from 35 to 40 seconds.
In addition to the cost and cooldown changes, Aftershock has been revised. The ability used to produce a single blast that could hit enemies for 150 damage. After patch 3.00, Aftershock will trigger not one, but three consecutive blasts that deal 60 damage each. That’s more damage overall, but much harder to land.
Jett
Jett is one of the most played agents in the higher ranks. Her mobility is unmatched and she can wipe out an entire team with her Ultimate. The 3.00 patch didn’t change her that much and just tweaked some costs.
- Cloud Burst has been increased from 100 credits to 200 credits.
- Updraft has been increased from 100 credits to 150 credits.
- Blade Storm cost has been changed from 6 credits to 7 credits.
The biggest change of all three is the cost of her ultimate ability, as she will be using it less frequently from now on. Overall, it could have been much worse.
Raze
Another popular lower tier agent that can totally dominate a match. Raze was hit hard by the latest patch, as the cost of the Boom Bot increased from 200 to 400 credits! Also, the Ultimate now costs 8 points instead of 7. Will she ever recover from this? Will players still pick her? Yes, definitely.
Skye
The Australian agent has only received two changes, but one of them could greatly affect her playstyle. Her ultimate ability is still the same and Regrowth remains the same, but Trailblazer now costs 250 credits instead of 200. The big changes were to Guiding Light. Your eagles now only have 3 recharges and cost 250 credits instead of 100 – that’s quite a price increase. Also, there is now a 40-second cooldown for their lightning bolts to renew. Are the changes a good thing? Only time will tell, but for now they seem like strong nerfs to some of the most popular agents.

What is Valorant?
Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and Overwatch . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.
Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.
The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.
Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
