Right now, all indications are that Riot is hard at work preparing for Episode 5, so we didn’t get a big patch this time. Riot has their hands full – a new map, Phoenix and Cypher buffs, and they’re probably keeping an eye on Fade and making sure it’s balanced. Regardless, we’ve now received an update that will likely have a major impact on the current metagame. Let’s see what patch 4.09 brings!

Agent Updates
Chamber’s trademark nerf
Chamber has been heavily generated. Although it is only a change for a single ability, it is a big change that will affect the agent quite a bit.
Here are all the new changes for the trademark ability:
- Cost increased 150 >>> 200
- Charges decreased 2 >>> 1
- Range of sound effects increased
Fade’s Visual Changes
Fade isn’t being generated yet, but she is getting some pretty interesting visual changes:
- Nightfall (X) – When casting Fade’s Ult, you will now see flickering textures on diagonal walls less often. Also, visual effects have been added for better clarity and visual impact.
- Grapple (Q) – Changed visual effects of the sphere for more dynamic rendering in 1p and agent selection.
Weighted Mode Updates.
Riot still hasn’t implemented that whole Clutch Mute thing, but we are getting a pretty cool Party Lead Transfer feature that allows you to change the lead of your party:
- The current party leader can right-click on the name of the player they want to transfer that responsibility to, and select “Make Leader of Party” from the drop-down menu.
Esports Features
- Observers can now turn the score display on/off.
Bug Fixes
As always, there are also some minor bug fixes for Jett, Skye, and Sova.
- Fixed a bug where Jett’s Tailwind would sometimes not cast if the ability was used immediately after a directed Cloudburst.
- Fixed a bug where Jett’s Ult indicator would sometimes remain active after she had used all of her kunai.
- Fixed a bug where an unintended “Use” input could happen after abilities like Skye’s “Pathbreaker” or Sova’s “Owl Drone” while using the “Use” button.
And that’s it for the patch notes for patch 4.09! The next update should be released on May 24 and it will be the last update for Valorant Episode 4.
What are Patchnotes?

What is Valorant?
Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and Overwatch . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.
Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.
The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.
Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
