PoGO – Pokémon GO: Adventure Week Box Sale – which box do you want?

Adventure Week is upon us in Pokémon Go and the developers at Niantic have once again swapped the contents of the boxes in the store. Are Special Box, Super Box, Hyperbox and Adventure Box only worth it for the breeders among you, or also for the raiders? We explain the contents and your savings if you should strike.

The developers of Pokémon Go are launching Adventure Week in the popular pocket monster walking simulator on June 4 at 10 p.m. – today. You will not only benefit from increased spawn rates of the rock-type Pokémon, but also from more experience points by turning around at PokéStops you haven’t visited yet. Plus, you’ll collect four times the amount of candy via your buddy! You should definitely get out there, because those who reach the 50-kilometer mark with Adventure Sync will also be rewarded with 50,000 stardust and 15 special candies on June 10.

In keeping with all the excitement, the makers at Niantic have added new content to the Special Box, Super Box, Hyperbox and Adventure Box in the Pokémon Go store. We take a look at what’s inside and which type of trainer should most likely grab which Boxsale package. But first, we’ll list the items in the boxes – as usual, we’ll highlight the changes for you in the overview.

As usual, the special box is a nice alternative for the trainers with a small Pokécoin wallet. Since the content is more geared towards Adventure Week than Legendary Raid Hours in June 2019, there are fewer Raid Passes compared to the previous box sale, but at least the Hatchery Machines and Lucky Eggs complement the Adventure Week features. You’ll want to be on the road anyway, and if you haven’t reached Trainer Level 40 yet, you’ll benefit tremendously from the Lucky Eggs once you’re shooting at previously unvisited PokéStops with nice regularity.

The Superbox, on the other hand, is not a real alternative for you, because it loses two Super Brooders and seems completely unattractive otherwise – compared to buying the Brooders and Raid Passes individually, you still save 420 coins… but the box is more unattractive than the previous one. It tries to be both meat and fish, and to please both breeders and raiders. However, if you have the coins for hyperbox or adventure box, then investing in these crates is more worthwhile. Or store the double special box if you don’t care about the raid passes, but do care about the bonus from the lucky eggs.

The Hyperbox is obviously aimed at the raiders among the PoGo trainers; with the Raid Passes alone, you’ll recoup the investment of 1,480 Pokécoins compared to buying them individually. In addition, you will receive both lucky eggs and star pieces. Although the amount of Raid Passes is disappointing, the extras are quite okay.

Of course, the hatchers among you will reach for the adventure box, which offers three more hatchers in terms of numbers compared to the previous filling, even if they are only the normal egg hatchers. Keep in mind, however, that during Adventure Week you’ll primarily want to hatch 2k eggs, and for those, few trainers will want to “waste” the recharges of their Super Hatchers. Again, you’ll get both lucky eggs and star pieces, both extras that are perfect for you.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
