PoGO – Pokémon GO: Community Day + Stardew = Stardust galore – this is how it works

In Pokémon Go, the stardust shower is currently active, which gives you stardust bonuses. And on Community Day on November 10, you’ll even get four times the amount for three hours! We’ll tell you how to get the most stardust.

Trainers in Pokémon Go are currently sitting on hot coals – at least if they want to increase their stardust supply enormously. Because the stardust shower is currently active in Niantic’s AR app. Until November 13, you will receive double the amount of stardust by catching Pokémon and hatching eggs. Then there’s Community Day on November 10 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. – when you’ll get double the amount of stardust for catching Pokémon.

The stardust bonus is then quadrupled. Imagine if you then throw in another stardust piece and catch weather-boosted Pokémon. Then you’ll actually get a stardust shower! But first, let’s take a look at how exactly the stats change – we’ve abbreviated Community Day to CD.

To get the most out of the bonuses, you’ll want to have plenty of Poké Balls on hand, especially for Community Day, and maybe grab some Star Pieces as well – there’s a box sale going on right now to go with it. You can currently find Star Pieces in the Special Box as well as in the Super Box and the Hyper Box. If you want to use the entire Community Day to farm stardust, you will need six Star Pieces for this period.

If you want to farm specifically, follow the tips that the authors of Pokémon Go Hub have compiled:

Don’t hatch 7km eggs during the stargazer, because they will bring you the same amount of stardust as 5km eggs, but they take longer to hatch. So steer clear of 7k eggs by not opening gifts until you have a full egg collection.

Use super incubators especially for 10km eggs.

Hatch 5km and 10km eggs with an active stardust piece – or save the stardust piece for Community Day, when four captured Pokémon will give you about the same amount of stardust as hatching a 2km egg.

During the Stargazer, and especially during Community Day, catch all the Pokémon that come in front of your Pokéball.

If you want to be extra effective, learn how to stop the Pokéball animation early before Community Day to save time during the catching process. To do this, do the following when the catch screen opens:

With your non-catching hand, drag the Pokéball selection menu from right to left. The menu icon will move a little bit to the left. Keep your finger on the screen.

Use your catching hand to throw the Pokéball at the Pokémon. When the ball hits the mon and opens, release the screen with your non-catching hand.

The ball menu opens and you tap the screen once to close it. Then press the escape button. The Pokémon may still be displayed. If you select it and get an error message, you have caught it. If you switch back to the catch screen, you can start a new attempt.

What does the whole thing do for you? You save a few seconds of the Pokéball animation wiggling back and forth, as well as the catch screen. Watch the video below to see how this works.

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events).
