PoGO – Pokémon Go: The requirements and rewards up to level 50

At the beginning of December 2020, a new hour will strike for the heroes of Pokémon Go, because then the maximum level of the trainers will be increased from level 40 to level 50. We have a comprehensive overview of what rewards await you from level 1 to level 50 – and what requirements you must fulfill for the level up.

The Pokémon Go community has been asking for this for a long time, and at the beginning of December 2020, the developers of the pocket monster collecting app will grant their wish: the maximum level will be raised from 40 to 50. “Finally, progress again!” think the trainers, who have been hanging out at the max level for what feels like ages. “Finally, faster progression!”, think the trainers who have found the grind at level 40 to be tedious at best. Because with the introduction of level 50, the XP rewards for many activities in Pokémon Go will also be adjusted and in some places blatantly increased.

In this article, we’ll give you an overview of the leveling requirements and the rewards you’ll receive with a level up. Remember that at level 50, the level of your Pokémon is no longer tied to the level of your trainer, so even if you’ve only reached level 25, you can bring Pokémon up to level 50. By the way: Best buddy Pokémon will then be treated at their max level as if they were level 51, so it’s always worth making a few best buddies!

So now to the overview of the requirements for each level as well as the rewards. Note: It’s entirely possible that the absolute numbers will change once the “new” leveling system is available in Pokémon Go. We will adjust the data if there are any changes then! Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events).
