PoGO – Pokémon Go Fest 2020: How to get ready now

On August 25 and 26, 2020, Pokémon Go will celebrate Pokémon Go Fest, and everyone who has grabbed Ticket: Go Fest 2020 should prepare a bit for the total 20-hour event so that they don’t suddenly find themselves with a full Pokébox during the activities or run out of Pokéballs. We’ll give you a few tips.

It’s coming soon, Pokémon Go Fest 2020, which will be held worldwide on August 25 and 26, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time each day. Players around the world will then either play from home and go on the hunt for more than 75 pocket monsters (also known as Shinys) appearing in raids, in the wild, and via special research, or even head out the door, provided they are able to keep the widely recommended distances regarding the Corona Pandemic. No matter which group of players you belong to, there are a few tips you’ll want to take to heart for the event. We’ll briefly summarize them for you, so you don’t end up in a space predicament during the activities, for instance.

Clean up your Pokébox

A lot of Pokémon will appear during Pokémon Go Fest 2020, and you’ll want to add them to your collection – either because you haven’t caught them yet, because you’re hunting for Shinys, because you want to take part in the Global Challenges, or because you still need candies to upgrade your Pocket Monsters. Therefore, make sure you have space in your box ahead of time and ship the Pokémon you no longer need.

The authors of Pokémon Go Hub recommend about 500 free spaces for hardcore fans, but less is certainly enough for casual players. No matter which group you belong to, there is rarely anything more annoying than not being able to catch a mon because the box is full. You should also clean up at the end of Day 1 to make room for the second day’s Pokémon. Remember, a Pokémon Storage Plus will cost you 200 Pokécoins. Stupidly, we’re still waiting for a sale that offers both the storage and the item bag for a bit cheaper for once …

Clean up the inventory too

Should you be out and about during the Pokémon Go Fest and pass by lots of PokéStops, then your inventory will also overflow at some point. It makes sense to keep Pokéballs and berries, of course, if you want to collect as many candies as possible. Potions and vivifiers will probably be of interest for Team Rocket special research during the festival. However, there are some items that can take up an unexpected amount of space, including TMs, unconverted special candies, lure modules, and items you need to evolve some mons. Do you really need seven king stones? Or 32 hyper potions if you also have 100 top potions? Again, the item bag to expand your inventory will cost you 200 Pokécoins. And if you’ve already reached the storage limit, that won’t help you spontaneously either. The maximum for item storage is currently 2,500, and 3,000 for Pokémon.

Attention: Save your gifts! On the first day of the Pokémon Go Fest, there is the Friendship Habitat, which comes with a Global Challenge – but the time for this is not yet known. Within it, if the challenge is met, gifts will include unexpected items if you’re lucky! As soon as there is an official schedule for the changing habitats, we’ll let you know!

Collect Consumables

We’ve already mentioned Pokéballs, as well as Berries, Livers, and Potions. Still, it can’t be pointed out enough that you’ll be challenged especially on the Pokéball front, if you also don’t want to miss a single Pokémon in your area. Also remember to open your free box in the store every day, because it sometimes contains useful goodies. Even on Community Day with Nebulak, it was worth opening it, because the box contained a whopping 30 Hyperballs. You can probably count on such a generous gift at Pokémon Go Fest. You’ll want to have smoke, too!

Map out a route

If you already know you want to go out the door, go to a place where you know there are usually a lot of spawns in the wild. Then, 15 to 20 minutes before the Pokémon Go Fest starts, don’t catch any more pocket monsters, because they can turn into event monsters at 10:00 sharp.

Take care of yourself, that’s probably the most important motto, whether you stay at home or go out. Keep your distance, give yourself breaks, take something to drink and a snack with you on the way. Check out the weather ahead of time. Put on sunscreen, take an umbrella. And don’t forget the power bank so you have enough power for the road! Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
