PoGO – Pokémon Go Fest 2021: These are the 25 mon you want to catch!

Pokémon Go Fest 2021 is on! So many Pokémon now appearing in the wild or, if you’ve bought an Event Ticket, spawning via the use of smoke! Which ones are worth catching? We give you an overview of the Pokémon worth catching for Pokémon Go Fest 2021 in the wild.

On July 17 and 18, the Pokémon Go fan community will celebrate Pokémon Go Fest 2021. One of the features of Pokémon Go Fest 2021 is the legendary Raid Day on Sunday, and we’ve already told you which mon you’re most likely to want to fight and capture because they have some meta-relevance. But what about the pocket monsters that appear in the wild or that are attracted by smoke?

We’ll give you an overview of that here. Attention though. Only players who have purchased the Event Ticket will have special Mon appear when they cast smoke. We have marked this accordingly for you. Furthermore, the developers at Niantic have not revealed all of the pocket monsters that appear in the wild at the respective habitat hours.

The Habitat Hours

Before we jump right into the Pokémon adventure, let us remind you that Saturday’s spawns are divided into Habitat Hours. That is, during these hours, some Mon will appear especially often in the wild and will also be part of the Global Challenge for Ticket Buyers. The Habitat Hours work as follows:

As with last year’s event, themed Habitat Hours will once again take place, alternating around the world in this order: Jungle, Desert Mountain, Seashore, Cave. The festival will kick off in the earliest time zone (UTC +14) on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 10am with the Jungle Habitat. The habitat will then change every hour until the event ends in the latest time zone. Note: Habitats will only be active for all trainers during the event period on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10am to 6pm (local time). Say:

From 10:00 am to 11:00 am and from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the dungeon habitat will be active
From 11:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 16:00, the desert mountain habitat is active.
From 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the marine beach habitat is active.
From 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., cave habitat is active

As mentioned, this applies ONLY to Saturday.

Jungle Habitat Pokémon

Froxy, because his evolution Quajutsu will learn Aqua Howitzer at a community day sometime in the future, making him a powerful water mon alongside Kyogre and Kingler.
Sichlor, because it has uses in PvP and on top of that is a solid choice for battles against Team Rocket
Plaudagei (only for ticket buyers), because it is a regional, which is usually not available here

Pokémon of the Desert Mountain Habitat

Panzaeron, because the steel flying Pokémon is doing quite excellently in Pokémon Go’s Ultra League
Bollterus, because it has a ton of defense and can therefore be used often in the meta – and of course is annoying in PvP
Despotar (ticket buyers only) because Godzillamon is still one of the most effective and powerful rock and unlight mon
Jiutesto (ticket buyers only) because it becomes available as a Shiny for the first time and usually only spawns in the southern hemisphere

Pokémon of the ocean beach habitat

Dratini, because its evolution Dragoran is still a popular and useful Dragon counter
Garados, (ticket buyers only) because just like Dragoran, Garados is still a big player in the PvE meta, and also holds an excellent position in PvP
Azumarill, (only for ticket buyers) because it is THE Pokémon in the Ultraliga that annoys all opponents to death because of its stamina.
Karadonis, (only for ticket buyers) because it becomes available for the first time as Shiny

Pokémon of the cave habitat

Galar Flunschlik, because it rocks in the Ultraliga both offensively and defensively
Kapuno, because it’s one of the rarest Pokémon to appear in the wild in the game, and it’s even rarer as a Shiny – quite good in both PvE and PvP
Guardevoir, (only for ticket buyers) because the pocket monster is one of the strongest Fairy counters in Raids, along with Togekiss
Nachtara, (ticket buyers only) because it does well in Ultra League, and rocks tremendously in Hyper League (with XL candies)
Voltula, (only for ticket buyers) because it gives PvP fans a smart answer to opposing Panzaeron, Azumarill, Nachtara, Deoxys and Hypno in the Ultra League – thanks to DEF debuff!

From the raids you can also get Kapuno, Koknodon (because Rameidon is a rock type with a lot of power) and Galar-Ponita like Galar-Zigzachs – the latter two especially because you can get them as Shiny if you’re lucky. Also exclusive to ticket buyers are the spawns of Icognito F and Icognito G, both of which can be Shiny. Shiny Icognito F wasn’t available before either.

Also new Shiny are Flurmel, Schallquapp, Palimpalim and Ohrdoch.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
