The battle event in Pokémon GO is currently in full swing – and has a helpful bonus up its sleeve. You can improve your Arena Orders much faster. We’ll explain how to do that and why you should improve your Orders in our quick tip.
Every Pokémon game has them, and Pokémon GO is no exception: the Arena Orders. In Niantic’s mobile title, you can earn these awards in three levels: bronze, silver, and gold. The key advantage here is that if you have the Order of a certain arena, you’ll receive more items on the photo disc of that arena when you rotate it – depending on which rank of the Order you’ve already achieved.
Normally, you’ll have to invest quite a bit of time if you want to reach the Gold rank in a particular arena. However, you can currently take advantage of a mechanic that will allow you to reach your goal twice as fast. As My MMO reports, the battle event gives you double experience points for Arena Orders. Accordingly, now is the optimal time to secure and level up the medals of your favorite arena.
In detail, you need at least 500 arena experience points for the bronze medal, at least 4,000 experience points for silver, and at least 30,000 experience points for gold. You currently get the XP for the following activities in the arena:
- Defending the arena with one Pokémon: two EP per minute.
- Feeding Pokémon berries in the arena: 20 EP per berry fed
- Placing Pokémon in the arena: 200 EP per Pokémon
- Winning a battle in the arena: two EP per 100 WP of the Pokémon you defeated
- Lose battle in the arena: ten EP per lost battle
- Win raid of the arena: 2,000 EP per raid
While the battle event is ongoing, you have to win 15 raids to earn the gold medal of the respective arena. By the way, the event will last until March 12, 2019, so you still have a few days to enjoy the bonus for your arena medals – even if you might not manage to level a medal all the way to gold.
Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events).
