PoGO – Pokémon GO: Make Cresselia fit for the Super League with swap trick!

When Cresselia became available as a legendary Pokémon in Raids, fans of Pokémon GO were not very enthusiastic – the Pokémon is too weak for Arena and Raid battles. In PvP, however, it can unleash its true strength with a little trick and fight its opponents to the ground in the Super League.

Since the introduction of Trainer Battles in Pokémon GO, a lot has changed in the game’s meta. Pokémon that previously played little role in Raids and Arena battles now really come into their own in PvP. In particular, the system of three different leagues allows trainers to pit Pokémon of different strengths against each other – even lower-tier pocket monsters that would otherwise languish in their Pokéballs finally get a chance to fight.

These include the legendary Pokémon Cresselia, which players were recently able to catch in Tier 5 Raids. When Cresselia succeeded Giratina, the Pokémon GO community reacted with disappointment and frustration that a bad Legendary Raid Pokémon was followed by an even worse one. Cressalia’s stats were considered below average among fans, leading many trainers to take a raid break.

But the fans may have done Cresselia an injustice: Because as My MMO reports, there is a little trick with which the legendary Pokémon can be transformed into a powerful fighter in PvP. To do this, you have to use Cresselia in the Super League, that is, in battles with Pokémon that have up to 1,500 WP. The problem with this is that if you catch Cresselia after a Raid battle, it will have 1,555 WP, which is higher than the Super League value.

However, this problem can be solved relatively easily: Trade Cresselia so that its IV deteriorates – giving it a low WP value. Reddit user narfangar recently calculated the likelihood of getting a Cresselia with under 1,500 WP by trading it.

The reason why Cresselia excels in PvP is because of its survival time: Cresselia’s attack value is quite low, but it has a lot of HP and defense – the perfect prerequisites for PvP battles. In order for Cresselia to really reach its full potential in Super League PvP, it still needs the right attacks.

For instant attacks, you can choose between Psycho Blade and Confusion. For PvP battles, you can use the fast attack Psycho Blade. The charging attacks are interesting: Here you can fall back on Moon Force, Seer and Aurora Ray. Because Cresselia belongs to the Psycho Pokémon type, it is vulnerable to Unlight Pokémon. However, the Fairy Attack Moon Power will help you against Unlight Pokémon like the Dog Monster, which is popular in the Super League because of its TDO. In addition, Moon Power also scores against Dragon Pokémon. Aurora Ray as an Ice Attack is especially useful for defeating Ice or Plant Pokémon, such as Bisaflor or Zapdos, which are also popular in Super League.

Now the question is: Is it worth investing the resources to unlock a second charge attack for Cresselia? The answer depends on how much you want to engage in PvP in Super League. If your PvP focus is on this league and you rarely play in the other leagues, you’ll want to invest in Cresselia to get the most out of the legendary Pokémon. On the other hand, if you want to play in another league, consider spending your stardust on a Pokémon and its second charge attack there.

No matter what you decide, you can be sure that your captured Cresselia won’t have to live a dreary existence in its Pokéball. Instead, it will develop unimagined powers in the Super League PvP and will certainly help you to succeed there. Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events).
