The developers of Pokémon Go have once again made it abundantly clear that other Pokémon will hatch from eggs starting at 10:00 p.m. local time on October 12, 2020, which is today. The fact that the contents of eggs in Pokémon Go are currently not particularly attractive has been criticized by players for quite some time.

Update as of 10/12/2020, 10:00 p.m.: Curios Eggs have arrived in Pokémon Go, bringing with them not only an event that will last until 10:00 p.m. on October 19, 2020, but also a new special research around Team Go Rocket that you’ll receive once you’ve joined The Sinister Menace Grows. Curiosity Eggs require 12 kilometers traveled by you to be hatched and can contain, among other things, the new Pokémon Skallyk. Kurios Eggs are thus now the “largest” eggs, with a 12km requirement. Important : You will only get Kurios Eggs after defeating Team Rocket bosses if you also have room in your egg inventory for them! The Kurios eggs will be available even after the event ends. The details:

  • Curious eggs have been discovered in Pokémon GO! Spark has discovered that the following Poison and Unlight Pokémon, as well as Pokémon that obtain these types through evolution, hatch from these eggs: Larvitar, Zurrokex, Unratütox, Skallyk, and possibly more!
  • Defeat a Team GO Rocket executive to obtain a Curiosity Egg. You will need to walk 12 km to hatch it. You can only get a Curiosity Egg if you have a free spot in your Egg Inventory before battling Sierra, Cliff, or Arlo. You can still get Curios Eggs in Pokémon GO after the event ends.
  • Eggs you place in an egg incubator during the event will hatch four times faster.
  • For the first time since March, a new Team GO Rocket special research is available! Help Prof. Willow and the team leaders uncover Team GO Rocket’s machinations with Curiosity Eggs. The research journey culminates in a battle with Giovanni himself! This is the last Team GO Rocket special research in 2020, so if you currently have the “The Sinister Menace Grows” special research open from the spring, you’ll need to complete that before you get the new special research.
  • Poison and Unlight Pokémon are appearing more frequently in the wild. You can encounter Webarak, Doguster, Fiffyen, Sipuck, Skunkapooh, Felilou, and more Pokémon.
  • Team GO Rocket is unusually active! Look out for more PokéStops taken over by Team GO Rocket and more Team GO Rocket balloons.
  • Take a snapshot – a surprise awaits you!
  • Avatar items inspired by Team GO Rocket boards are now available in the Style Shop. If you wear these, you may be able to infiltrate Team GO Rocket as a spy. Let’s go, trainers!
  • We’ve also been told that Team GO Rocket bullies are now using the following Crypto Pokémon: Digda, Muschas, Flegmon, Aerodactyl, and Panzaeron. Team GO Rocket board members now appear to be using Crypto-Fukano, Crypto-Traumato, and Crypto-Amonitas. If you’re lucky, you may even be able to rescue an Iridescent specimen of these Crypto Pokémon! If you defeat Giovanni at the end, you can rescue Crypto-Mewtu! This is the first time Crypto-Mewtu has appeared outside of Pokémon GO’s special research, “String Road to Victory,” which was exclusive to Pokémon GO Fest 2020 attendees.

The special research, which you will receive after completing the previous Team Rocket special researches, has the following name and includes six steps: an egg-like evolution. Update as of 10/12/2020, 1:30 p.m.: The folks at Niantic have spoken up via the support account. Again, the times were translated incorrectly by the Niantics. Means that the “event” – there’s at least a confirmation for that – only starts on October 12, 2020 at 22:00 our time. We have adjusted the times in this article accordingly.

PoGO – Pokémon Go: New Curious Eggs and Special Research An egg-like development!Update as of 10/12/2020, 1:10 p.m.: [/COLOR]While fans are still waiting for an official statement about the eggs, the Italian account for Pokémon Go has shared the image of red eggs on Twitter. According to the translation, Spark would have found a strange red egg. This seems to confirm the assumption of Crypto eggs.

Original post from October 12, 2020, 08:35: Pokémon Go developers are making it abundantly clear that “new and exciting changes” are coming to players on October 12, 2020, starting at 22:00 local time, which is today. “Because it looks like different Pokémon will soon hatch from eggs!” the Pokémon Go makers also tweet. This is apparently an event that will last from October 12, 2020 starting at 22:00 until October 20, 2020 at 07:00.

“It’s about time!” is what a large part of the community will be thinking, because the Pokémon that are currently hatching from the eggs are also causing a stir – especially negative ones. For example, many trainers don’t see why so many ordinary pocket monsters, which also appear relatively often in the wild, have to hatch from the eggs. For example, Barshwa in the 10km eggs, while really desirable and rare Kaumalat, Kapuno and Milza are extremely scarce. That’s why hardcore fans have wanted adjustments to make egg hatching interesting again for some time.

It’s possible that this October 2020 egg shakeup in Pokémon Go has something to do with the datamined Crypto Eggs (or weird eggs), as well as a six-step special research called “An Inter-egg-stinging Development” that the folks at PokéMiners found. According to the Dataminer findings, the special research revolves around Team Rocket and the fact that members of the common union can drop Crypto eggs. These, in turn, will hatch into Crypto Pokémon when you hatch them. We’re very excited to find out what the eggs are all about, and we’ll update this article as soon as there’s any news!

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
