The last limited research for the 2020 Nostalgia Challenge in Pokémon Go is already on the doorstep. Currently (May 18), the 2020 Nostalgia Challenge: Hoenn is still running, and you can complete it until May 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. local time. If everything goes as planned by Pokémon Go developers Niantic, then the Temporary Research Nostalgia Challenge 2020: Sinnoh will start on May 22, 2020 at 13:00 local time, which can then be completed until May 29, 2020 at 13:00 local time.

After experiencing problems with the Temporary Research on Kanto and Johto, everything is going smoothly with the Hoenn Edition, except for the fact that the distance bonus for hatching eggs during the 2020 Nostalgia Challenge: Johto does not stack with the hatching bonus that is currently active in general. So aside from that, expect the 2020: Sinnoh Nostalgia Challenge to launch on time. Remember, even if you don’t give a damn about Cresselia with the Shrubber attack, you may still want to grab Galar-Mauzi, Galar-Flunschlik, and Genesect guaranteed with the Nostalgia Challenge’s open-ended special research champ. The thing is, this special research will only be unlocked to Pokémon Go players who have completed all four Temporary Nostalgia Challenge 2020 researches.

As usual, the Nostalgia Challenge 2020: Sinnoh also offers nine steps that you will want to complete, with this happening automatically with step 9. It is also known that the Samurzel Community Day will be active during the Temporary Research, so you might be able to benefit from the increased spawn rates for one or the other step of the Sinnoh Research. But first, the general interesting details about the Sinnoh event. Below you can find the bonuses that will be activated during the Temporary Research:

Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, such as Kikugi and Charmian, appear more frequently in the wild.
Pokémon from the Sinnoh region can be challenged in Raid battles.
The following Pokémon hatch from 7-km eggs: Koknodon, Schilterus, Charmian, Klingplim, Mobai, Wonneira, Kaumalat, Mampfaxo, Riolu, and Mantirps.
Since Lucario won the vote for Pokémon of the Year in the Sinnoh Pokémon category, Pikachu with Lucario caps are appearing in the wild.
If you’re lucky, you may even encounter Iridescent Charmian!
In event-exclusive field research projects, Sinnoh Pokémon appear as rewards.
The effect of Star Pieces, Smoke, and Lucky Eggs lasts for one hour at a time.

Activating a star piece isn’t really worth it unless you’re relatively quick at completing the steps of Nostalgia Challenge 2020: Sinnoh. If you still want XP, use the lucky egg only at the last step to turn 9,000 XP into 18,000 XP after all.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados).
