PoGO – Pokémon Go: What’s that rattling? - Guide to Galar Pantimos and Pantifrost

The makers of Pokémon Go are really pushing the issue of paid special research at the end of 2020 and are bringing Galar Pantimos and its evolution Pantifrost into play with a cold-and-sound event. While there are bonuses for non-paying trainers, Galar Pantimos and Pantifrost will only be available to those who put money on the virtual counter.

The makers of Pokémon Go never tire of announcing one paid event after the next. After the Kanto Tour, the developers from Niantic are coming up with a cold-and-sound event Galar Pantimos and its evolution Pantifrost. The catch is that only players who are willing to buy the event ticket for (probably) just under 9 euros will get the two Pokémon.

All others who don’t want to pay the money will of course also benefit from bonuses – but won’t get the special research for Galar Pantimos. The new form of Pantimos and the new Pokémon Pantifrost are certainly not the only incentives to buy; the makers of Pokémon Go have also already revealed in detail which rewards you will receive for the steps of the special research – among others, breeding machines, Knursp and star pieces.

Below, we summarize for you the info on the Cold and Sound event that applies to all trainers, followed by the interesting notes for the paying members of the Pokémon Go community.

A weekend of Pokémon related to cold and sound

The event starts on December 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. and ends on December 21, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. (local time)
Pokémon like Rossana, Squeak, Spoink, Fleknoil, Petznief, and more are attracted to smoke more often!
If you’re lucky, you may even encounter an Iridescent Petznief!

Special Research for Galar Pantimos and Pantifrost

The special research, the title of which is not yet known, is a “time-limited special research” that can be done from December 19, 2020 at 10:00 am to December 20, 2020 at 10:00 pm at best. With the event ticket for Galar Pantimos for around 9 euros, you can access a new special research series with an encounter with a Galar Pantimos

By the end of the special research, you will receive enough Pantimos candies to evolve your Galar Pantimos into a Pantifrost.
You will receive a special event medal.
Complete Special Research tasks that lead to encounters with Pokémon such as ALoLa Vulpix, Pummeluff, Rossana, Flurmel, Palimpalim, and Schneppke.
You’ll receive a brand new Pantimos-inspired avatar pose.
By completing the special research, you will receive 3 x Smoke, 3 x Special Candy, 30 x Hyperballs, 3 x Premium Battle Pass, 1 x Growlsp, 2 x Glacier Lock Module, 3 x Super Brood Machine, and 3 x Star Piece.
Exclusive field research tasks will lead to encounters with Rossana, Lapras, Fleknoil and Petznief.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados).
