Xerneas is pretty. Zygarde is … well… glubschig and insanely complicated. Both legendary Pokémon have their advantages and disadvantages, but die-hard Pokémon fans are waiting for just one pocket monster in Pokémon Go: Yveltal. The pocket monster of the rather rare types Unlight and Flight has the potential to turn the metagame of Pokémon Go mightily upside down. Any self-respecting trainer will want to grab at least one Yveltal for their collection. Metagamers will want to have several of them at once.
But before the catch comes the fight! To make sure that you succeed in the fight against Yveltal and win the battle, we have prepared an up-to-date counter-attack guide for Yveltal. We’ve left out the expensive Crypto Pokémon for the best counters – if you want to take Cryptos with you, then take Crypto Raikou and Crypto Zapdos!
Yveltal – the best counters for the Raid
As mentioned above, Yveltal is a Unlight and Flight type Pokémon, and therefore takes the most damage right away from Electric, Fairy, Ice, and Rock attacks. But hey, you don’t have to use ground or psychic attackers like Mewtu. You should also stay away from Spirit Mon, because Yveltal uses all kinds of Unlight attacks and thus double-dips Spirit Pokémon. Electro attacks, on the other hand, take advantage of Yveltal’s weakness, so make sure you choose Electro Mon for your counterattacks. Yveltal shouldn’t cause you any problems if you attack with at least four or more trainers. If you have the perfect counters at your disposal, you can also defeat the legendary Pokémon with three players.
The following Pokémon are good counters for Yveltal. As mentioned, if you want to take Cryptos with you, go for Crypto-Raikou and Crypto-Zapdos.

Catch Yveltal
If you have successfully completed the battle against Yveltal and have the chance to banish the pocket monster into your Pokéball, then Yveltal has 2,160 CP at level 20 with 100% IV values. If Yveltal is boosted to level 25 on Wind or Fog, then it has 2,701 CP at perfect 100% IV values. We wish you good luck in the hunt!

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy.
