First of all, the 5,000x potential has been significantly reduced since the previous release, although it’s also much higher than what you get in the first game. In terms of features, it’s also less extreme, with a high-quality wild and a bonus round with seemingly more frequent wilds and scatters. There’s really nothing original or extreme to see here, but fruit slot fans might enjoy the retro presentation.

Bonus Features on Hot to Burn Extreme Slot

The fruit machine symbols with lucky number 7 enthroned at the top pay out between 2.4 and 125 times your bet for 5 of a kind. The Jester Wild can appear on any reel, and the Wild symbol substitutes for payout symbols to complete wins. Wilds pay the same as the high paying 7 symbols when you land pure wild wins.

The bonus round is triggered when you land 3, 4 or 5 star scatters anywhere in view, and this awards 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. We couldn’t notice any difference in the bonus round, although the paytable claims that “special reels are present during the feature”. Wilds and scatters seemed to land more often, especially wilds, but that’s it.

You can retrigger the bonus round seemingly indefinitely, and you get the same number of extra spins for the same number of retriggering scatters as above. Rating Conclusion

A game like Hot to Burn Extreme is obviously aimed at a specific audience, namely those who find a nostalgic pleasure in simple fruit machine-like games. The 2 previous installments weren’t really successful, but there is clearly an audience for games like this, and that will probably always be the case. Hot to Burn Extreme is far less “extreme” than the previous Hold & Spin release, at least in terms of potential.

At best, you can win up to 5,000 times your bet, which is 5 times what is offered in the original game, but only a quarter of what you get in the aforementioned Hold & Spin version. The pace is excellent when you hold down the spacebar to spin, but to be honest, there isn’t too much to see in this game. It’s extreme compared to the wildless featureless original, but we’d prefer the Hold & Win sequence if we had to choose between the three.
