How have the FIFA ratings of Emil Forsberg, André Silva & Co. changed in recent years? We do the check and compare the FIFA cards of today and the past.
RB Leipzig is now a force to be reckoned with in international soccer. At the latest after reaching the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League in the 2019/20 – Season , the entire soccer world knows the Red Bulls. This is an astonishing development, considering that Leipzig was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga for the first time in 2016. This rapid progress is also noticeable in the virtual soccer game FIFA.
The Red Bulls’ players are now among the best FIFA cards from the 1st Bundesliga. A few years ago, things were quite different. We took a closer look at the development of five RBL players since FIFA 16 and did the check: How much have the ratings of Leipzig’s professional soccer players changed in recent years?
Yussuf Poulsen

The Danish international striker is one of the players in the squad who was already there when RB Leipzig was still kicking around in the 3. Liga. Yussuf Poulsen has made the journey from the 3. Liga to the Champions League and is one of the absolute crowd favorites for a reason. While Poulsen still had a rating of 70 in FIFA 16 and a silver card in FIFA Ultimate Team, he was already given an overall rating of 77 in FIFA 19. The goal scorer still has this rating today. Who knows? Maybe Poulsen will make the leap to an 80 rating in the next few years – the club legend deserves it!
Péter Gulácsi

Goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi has also been wearing the RB Leipzig jersey for many years, joining from RB Salzburg in 2015. Since FIFA 16, the Hungarian national goalkeeper has improved continuously. Back then he had a rating of 70, but now he’s one of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga with an overall rating of 85. And rightly so – the 31-year-old is always a safe back-up in new coach Domenico Tedesco’s team.
Emil Forsberg

Emil Forsberg also moved to Leipzig in 2015. The 30-year-old Swede made the move from his home country to the Red Bulls – and eventually became a club icon. Together with Poulsen and Gulácsi, Forsberg is one of the longest-serving players at Leipzig. The offensive player followed the successful path of the Red Bulls and thus also improved his FIFA rating steadily. In FIFA 16, Forsberg still had a 72 silver card, but today he has a rating of over 80.
Angelino

However, a player who did not move to Leipzig until 2020 has made an even bigger leap in his FIFA rating. After left-back Angelino failed to establish himself at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, the Spaniard turned into one of the best wing-backs in the world at the Red Bulls. This also led to him having a strong overall rating of 83 in FIFA 22. By comparison, the then 18-year-old had an overall rating of 62 in FIFA 16, when he was under contract with New York City FC.
André Silva

The Portuguese goal-scorer has only been lacing up his boots for RB Leipzig since the summer of 2021. After some initial difficulties, the national team colleague of Cristiano Ronaldo is now scoring regularly and continuing his strong time with league rivals Eintracht Frankfurt. In FIFA 22 Silva is one of the most interesting strikers from the 1st Bundesliga – the overall rating of 84 is impressive! Since his time at Sevilla FC in FIFA 19, Silva’s overall rating has improved even more. If he continues like in the first weeks with the new coach Domenico Tedesco (five goals in the first five league games), it is quite likely that his rating will be corrected upwards in FIFA 23.
