Ryan Pessoa’s FIFA 22 career mode guide: young top midfielders

FIFA Pro and Red Bull athlete Ryan tells you which young talents you should focus on in midfield.

For the first time in the series, FIFA 22’s career mode lets you build your own team from scratch. A feature that has been requested by the community for a long time. But how do you make sure that your own club takes the championship title at the end of the – Season ?

A good start is to look for young players with high potential

“The same is true for newcomers as it is for veterans of past campaigns: Everyone needs to understand the tremendous value of young players to the long-term success of the club,” Ryan says. “This is not the mode where you can just sign Messi, Mbappé or Neymar from the start. You have to think carefully about who you sign – especially in midfield, a talented playmaker can carry the club’s success for many years.” Below is a list of potential superstars, none of whom are over the age of 21.

Ansu Fati (LF) – Barcelona – Potential Rating 90, Current Rating 76.

A graduate of the famous La Masia academy, Ansu Fati definitely has a glittering career ahead of him. He has already been called up to the Spanish national team three times. In September 2020, he scored in the international match against Ukraine. Fati is a versatile player who is just as comfortable on the left side of midfield as he is further forward in attack.

Bukayo Saka (LV) – Arsenal – PW 88, MW 80

Arsenal fans haven’t had many reasons to cheer in the 2020-21 – Season , but Bukayo Saka is definitely one of them. The immensely talented left-back is also more than capable of attacks down the wing. England have a lot to thank him for in the Euro 2020 finals.

Billy Gilmour (ZM) – Norwich City – PW 86, MW 72

One of the best Scottish midfielders in recent times is the 20-year-old Gilmour, who was loaned by Chelsea to Norwich City for one – Season . He made his international debut in the match against England (0-0) at Euro 2020 and has scored 6 goals since then.

Dominik Szoboszlai – RB Leipzig – PW 87, MW 77.

The Hungarian international has quickly become a key player at RB Leipzig. Szoboszlai’s strengths include his shooting power, skill and four stars on his weak right foot. In FIFA 22’s career mode, the Red Bulls’ shooting star could develop into an absolute weapon in your offense.

Eduardo Camavinga (ZM) – Real Madrid – PW 89, MW 78

The Frenchman was already a popular FIFA player during his time at Rennes. Now his profile will literally explode as he has moved to Real Madrid. Hardly surprising, since Camavinga is always good for a record. For example, he is France’s youngest national player in over 100 years. Put him centrally in your team and you will have a strong pivot in midfield for many (FIFA) years.

Giovanni Reyna (ZOM) – Borussia Dortmund – PW 87, MW 77

The son of Manchester City and Sunderland midfielder Claudio Reyna was born in England but grew up in the United States. His career began in the New York City FC academy, then he moved to the academy of Borussia Dortmund in 2019. Now, he already has over 50 appearances for Borussia under his belt, as well as a few appearances for the national team – and that’s at the age of 18.

Jadon Sancho (RM) – Manchester United – PW 91, MW 87

Certainly not the first English midfielder to return to the island after a successful spell in the Bundesliga – and with the Red Devils to boot. His transfer may have been overshadowed by the mega-deal surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo, but Sancho knows exactly what he needs to do in midfield.

Jamal Musiala (ZM) – Bayern Munich – PW 88, MW 75

A graduate of Chelsea’s academy, Musiala has been under contract at Bayern Munich since 2019 – making over 30 appearances and scoring plenty of goals from the central midfield position. The 18-year-old talent has also already made his mark in the Champions League.

Jude Bellingham (ZM) – Borussia Dortmund – PW 89, MW 79

Bellingham is already a Birmingham City legend at the age of 22

At an incredible 18 years old, Bellingham has made such an impression at Birmingham City that his number 22 jersey was retired after his departure to Borussia. He also helps his team to spectacular victories in the Champions League alongside Erling Haaland, as he did recently against Besiktas.

Mason Greenwood (RM) – Manchester United – PW 89, MW 78

Manchester United’s academy has produced some talent, but Greenwood is one we’ll be hearing from for many years to come. Scoring goals alongside Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo is no easy feat, but Greenwood does it hands down. He is not cheap, but if you get him, you will have a versatile player in the midfield of any squad.

Pedri (LM) – Barcelona – PW 91, MW 81

Pedro González López, better known as Pedri, has already experienced exciting years in professional soccer despite his age. Las Palmas and Barcelona, as well as the national team (Euro 2020) rely on his qualities. The midfielder will take on the central role of a new dynasty of Barca FC players at Camp Nou.
