This week’s highlight pits six players in an arena of death where everyone must work together to take down one of over 30 unique bosses. The controls are simple: right click to move, left click to attack. However, these simple controls are pushed to their limits as the creatures you face require split second timing and teamwork to defeat.
The game’s designer, ‘Clownz’ has done an amazing job of creating fun and interesting boss encounters, but that’s not all. The arena spawns random power-ups which can help turn the tides of battle. These power-ups include bonuses to your speed and damage; however, one of the most valuable power-ups increases your vision allowing you to more easily avoid damage and manage the battlefield.
Defeating a boss earns you loot as well as credits that you can spend to permanently improve your gear. Additionally, as your gladiator levels up, you’ll earn new models to show off your strength. Your gladiator’s progress is automatically saved, and when you start a new game you are able to jump right into higher level fights based upon your progress.
StarCraft Heroes – Graven Hill.
Graven Hill’s battle scars and long list of black market contacts belied a little of his good upbringing on Umoja. As a youth he was supposed to be a politician, like his father and mother, but Graven always found politics unfulfilling and useless.
Planets StarCraft – Aiur.
Aiur has witnessed the ups and downs of Protoss history – from the primitive origins of the psi race to accelerated evolution at the hands of the mysterious Xel’Naga. The Xel’Naga abandoned Aiur due to growing strife among the Protoss, which eventually led to the destruction of their primary telepathic link.
StarCraft Units – Marine.
Marines are the first line of defense for most terran worlds in the Koprulu Sector. In the days of the old Confederacy, the vast majority of Marines were criminals or rebels who underwent mandatory neural rehabilitation. These fearless soldiers, freed from any obligation or ideology, were willing to defend the interests of the Confederacy with their lives.
StarCraft Missions – Moebius factor.
Description: Seems your Queen of Blades figured out who’s paying us to collect all the artifacts. Moebius’ boss, Dr. Narud, says the Zerg are attacking the research center on Tyrandor. He can’t evacuate his people until they’ve gotten all the artifact research papers to safety.
StarCraft Buildings – Dark Shrine.
The Dark Shrine is a structure on the Protoss Technology Tree. Its only function is to unlock the powerful Dark Templar stealth melee unit at the Gateway and/or Warpgate. The Dark Shrine requires a Twilight Council before it can be warped in.
