Tigris Bundle: Price, Skins, Event Pass & More

The skins for the Year of the Ox were… mixed, to say the least. And what has Riot prepared for the Year of the Tiger? Check it out here!

We all knew we’d be getting new content for the game for Chinese New Year, but we were hoping for something better than last year. So it looks like instead of a cheap skin series that no one will play, Riot is giving us three things that the community won’t hate – a skin bundle, the Night Market, and a free Event Pass.

Looks cool, doesn’t it? Let’s take a look at all the details!

Tigris Bundle: Weapon Skins & Price

Let’s start with something we’ve all been expecting – the new skin lineup. The Tigris Bundle will include skins for the following weapons:

• Phantom
• Operator
• Specter
• Shorty
• Melee

Now let’s talk about the price of these pretty things! It’s not official yet, but it looks like the Tigris skins will have “premium” status. How do we know this? At 0:31 of the official bundle trailer we see, literally for a split second, this:

Moreover, the Celestial collection was also premium, which supports our theory. And if that’s the case, then the prices should look something like this:

Tigris Event Pass

We’ll also be getting a free Event Pass that will include some Chinese New Year related cosmetics. We don’t know how many there will be yet, but we’re expecting a similar pass to the one we got for the release of Arcane – a few sprays, titles, weapon talismans, and a player card (so everything except weapon skins). The Arcane pass had 9 rewards, and we expect that to be the case with the new Tigris Event Pass as well.

Tigris Night Market

The image you see above has been circulating on social media for a few weeks now, and it makes a lot more sense now. It looks like the Night Market is coming back into play; the only question is whether it will work as well as it has in the past. Let’s face it – Night Market has so much wasted potential that it’s just crying out for a rework.

Will Riot try something new to celebrate the New Year? We hope so. But the most important thing is that the Night Market is coming back, so we wish you good luck with your skins and discounts!

Tigris Bundle: Release Date

It looks like the Tigris Bundle will go live on February 1 (since that’s when the Lunar New Year begins) along with a small balance patch. All the skins and features we’ve talked about here are actually coming to the game today! The Chinese people usually celebrate the Lunar New Year for 15 days, so we expect that’s how long you’ll be able to buy the new skin bundle and enjoy the free Battle Pass and Night Market.

How to get skins in Valorant

Everyone uses the same weapons in Valorant, but that doesn’t mean every weapon has to look the same. After all, you’re going to spend a lot of time looking at your weapon, so looking at it might as well be.

Fortunately, the folks at Riot have the perfect solution for players who need to look good while shooting enemies. Skins are cosmetic add-ons that can change the physical appearance of a weapon, as well as animations and audio effects.

Read on to find out where you can get these unique looks and whether you need to play or pay to unlock the customizations.

How do I get skins in Valorant?

Unlike other popular multi-shooter games, Valorant doesn’t have any special skins to change and customize the look of the agent – at least for now. What they do offer is a collection of skins that can change and improve the way weapons look and feel while playing the game.

They don’t necessarily improve your gameplay, but sometimes looking good is enough to win a match, right?

Spend real money

This is possibly the easiest way to get the weapon skin you want but don’t have the time to unlock. Valorant Points or VP is the premium currency used in the game to unlock agents, skins and more from the in-game store.

Here is an example of converting real money to VP on the North American server:

• $4.99 – 475 VP, no bonus VP, 475 VP total.
• $9.99 – 950 VP, 50 bonus VP, 1000 VP total
• $19.99 – 1900 VP, 150 bonus VP, 2050 total
• $34.99 – 3325 VP, 325 bonus VP, 3650 total
• $49.99 – 4750 VP, 600 bonus VP, 5350 total
• 99 $ – 9500 VP, 1500 bonus VP, 11000 total

As a frame of reference, Valorant Store Featured Collections are around 7,100 VP. Individual weapon skins are slightly less expensive and generally range from 1,775 VP to 4,350 VP each, with melee weapon skins at the higher end of the price scale.

Before you start searching for weapon skins, you should know that featured bundles change every few weeks and individual skin deals change every 24 hours. So what you see today may not be what you see tomorrow.
