Update 19:17 o’clock: Summer Heat has started
FIFA 20 Summer Heat has started and just as we suspected, the new promo puts old familiar cards in the spotlight. Some of the strongest and most popular cards return for a short time. Most of them are determined by votes of the FIFA community.
On selected days, a FUT20 Player Pick Pack with three loan players will be given away upon login. The player you choose from them gets one vote. The player with the most votes gets a Squad Building Challenge with a much improved FUT20 Summer Heat card. EA Sports has explained how the whole thing works on their own homepage.
Tanguy Ndombele gets a Summer Heat SBC as a Fan Favorite. The card has an OVR of 93 and costs just under 150,000 coins.
Ferland Mendy of Real Madrid receives at launch – as already suspected – an upgrade version of his FUTmas-Kartem which can even be improved via Objectives. In the end, the left-back also convinces with an overall rating of 93.
Update from 19.06.: First voting started
The first FIFA 20 Summer Heat voting has started. When you log in to the FUT mode you can choose between three players who got a boost on their skill moves. You can choose between Ryan Kent, Luka Jovic and Musa.

What exactly FIFA 20 Summer Heat is, is still unclear, after all the promo celebrates its debut this year. Besides some announcement tweets and an info in the loading screen of FUT20, official information is scarce so far.
Unusual is especially the start time of the new promo: already on today, June 17, which is a Wednesday, it is supposed to start at 19:00. Normally FIFA promos start on a Friday, don’t they?
There are some theories what we can expect in FIFA 20 Summer Heat. However, the unusual start date and the latest update to the loading screen suggest that this is a smaller promo.
In the center are the symbols of previous FUT special cards, including:

- FUTmas cards
- Player Moments
- Ultimate Scream
FIFA 20 Summer Heat: Will the most popular cards return?
Based on the mid-week launch and the announcement image, players assume that the FIFA 20 Summer Heat event could bring back some of the most popular special cards from FUT 20 as an improved version.
For example, the Ultimate Scream card from the Halloween event could rise from center-back Piqué. At the time, it had an overall rating of 90, but it could now have an OVR of 92 or more.
