Weapons Call of Duty-FAL

The FAL (Fusil Automatique Léger) is a weapon from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Single player

The FAL is mainly used by the OpFor in the Team Player mission and the Brazilian Milita in the Access mission. It usually appears together with a red dot sight, an ACOG sight or a shotgun. You also encounter the FAL in many levels of Spec Ops, but it is again abundant in the missions in Favela. In Modern Warfare 2, it is the only semi-automatic assault rifle, which means that it has a lower rate of fire, but it makes up for it with high accuracy and high damage.

Multiplayer

In multiplayer, the FAL is available from level 28. While the semi-automatic weapon is not recommended for use in confined areas, rapid fire allows success to be achieved even at short distances. The fire mode also gives the player full control over the weapon’s ammo consumption.

The FAL does 35 to 55 damage with one hit, making it the strongest assault rifle in the game. The extra firepower brings only a minimal bonus and can therefore be replaced with another extra. To kill an enemy at long range 3 body hits are needed, at shorter distances two, regardless of whether firepower is used or not. This makes it, along with the UMP45, only one of two weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that

are not sniper rifles and can take out a player at any distance with a maximum of three hits.

The red dot sight is not recommended for the FAL, as they are not precisely aligned. The bullet’s trajectory is slightly to the right below the aiming point. This problem does not exist with the holographic sight. In addition, this sight increases the minimum damage dealt by 5 to a total of 40. Together with firepower, two hits are then enough to kill an opponent from any distance. Together with the extra attachment and a silencer, the FAL becomes an effective stealth weapon,

On Hardcore difficulty, the FAL takes out an enemy with a single hit. Together with a thermal sight, it can be used as an alternative sniper rifle. However, since many players use the Extra Ice Cold to hide from air support, this is usually not worth it. A better alternative is the M14 EBR, which has better magnification and lower recoil, is easier to shoot with parton penetration, and is last equipped together with a camouflage suit.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

In Call of Duty: Black Ops, the rifle appears with a modified design. It now consists of several elements made of wood. It is also no longer called just FAL, but FN FAL.

Single-player

This weapon is used by the units of the Tropas in the mission “Operation 40” and the soldiers of the NVA in the level “The Defector”.

Multiplayer

The FN FAL is made available for purchase at level 32. The rifle does a high amount of damage with a moderately high recoil. It takes two to three body hits to eliminate an enemy, and even a single hit is enough in Hardcore mode.

The assault rifle has some advantages over the other semi-automatic assault rifle, the M14. For example, it has a more open aiming device and it has a lower recoil. The recoil is not to be underestimated either, but after firing it is easier not to lose sight of the target than with the M14. However, the M14 has less spread when firing from the hip, which is especially helpful in short range combat. It also takes 0.1 seconds longer to reload, and 0.35 more to empty the magazine than the M14.

Another major drawback is the 1.4 times damage multiplier on chest hits, which means that two chest hits are always needed to take out an opponent. The M14 has the usual 1.5 times damage multiplier, which means that one hit is

enough. However, this shortcoming only comes into play when not playing in hardcore mode.

Survival Battle

In the game’s Survival Battle, the FN FAL appears in the levels Cinema of the Dead, Five, Ascension, Call of The Dead and Shangri-La. It also appears in the newly released maps Night of the Undead, Crazy, Shi No Numa and The Giant. The precise weapon can only be taken from the Mystery Box. It can be used to incapacitate zombies with a single headshot up to round 6.

With the Pack-a-Punch machine, the FN FAL can be converted into the “EPC WN”. It has a 3-shot automatic and has a reflex sight. It can be used to kill enemies with one headshot up to the twelfth round. The name EPC WN sounds like “epic win” from the wording.

Call of Duty
