Multiplayer
You unlock the HAMR at level 37 and its firing mode is quite similar to the AN-94. First, you fire seven bullets at 937 RPM before dropping into full-auto mode and permanently reaching only 625 RPM. The trigger can be cushioned, allowing you to continuously fire at the gun’s initial velocity. The damage of this light machine gun is medium and you need about three hits from the average distance, and even up to five from further distances if you want to kill someone. The rear and front sights are relatively clear, but the muzzle flash of the weapon can jump extremely into the frame, which can be prevented with a silencer. An optical attachment is recommended if you want to tickle the maximum range out of the HAMR. The grip also assists the player, as the weapon settles back into its original position more quickly after firing, but the effects are rather inconspicuous.
It’s best to give supporting fire with the HAMR. It simply lacks the easier handling of not-quite-heavy weapons, and the long time to go into the sights ensures that it’s better to wait until an enemy runs into your firing path. Although you can use the quick-draw grip to make sure that you can go into the sights faster, the weapon is still more meant to protect long runs and objects from the background.
After the January 26 patch, all light machine guns except the QBB LSW go into the sights faster.
Survival
The HAMR also appears in Survival Combat. It has 125 rounds in the magazine and 375 in reserve. The gun is really useful as it does a lot of damage, has a large magazine and reloads really fast for a light machine gun. When you punch the gun, the new name is “SLDG HAMR” and you can even punch it multiple times to cycle through the different attachments. Among them can be a reflex sight, ACOG sight, and a foregrip. Double fire malt beer is a good choice if you want to increase the damage even more, while speed cola takes care of the long reload time. You can also buy Stamina-Up to stay more mobile.
