In addition to all sorts of new features in the upcoming Battle for Azeroth addon for World of Warcraft, there are of course also new instances and raids. However, this content is once again divided between Horde and Alliance. We’ll tell you what dungeons await you around Kul Tiras and Zandalar.
At BlizzCon 2017 , developer Blizzard unveiled the latest addon to World of Warcraft . It’s called Battle for Azeroth and puts the battle between Alliance and Horde back at the center of events. Of course, there are all sorts of new features in the upcoming expansion. This includes the level cap of 120, new territories and areasand also new Allied Races for both factions. Of course, new instances and raids also find their place in the game, because they have always been part of the usual image of World of Warcraft. In addition, the Myth+ dungeons in Legion were a great success. That’s why Blizzard throws ten instances into the ring and the first raid is already fixed. At some point, according to Blizzard, we’ll even beat up Queen Azshara! That can be fun. We tell you what is known about the upcoming challenges so far.
Instances for your own faction
The ten dungeons are divided between the two factions Horde and Alliance. Four instances each are specially designed for leveling and the competition has no access to them – up to level 120. Once the upper limit has been reached, all the content of the enemy faction is available, so that every player can really enjoy Battle for Azeroth to the full comes.
For the Alliance!
Freehold
One of the most important instances on the Alliance side is Freehold, the city of pirates and thieves. The instances are of course in Tiragardesund, where the buccaneers cause trouble anyway. However, peace is not in good order in Freehold, as the Irontide Raiders have been up to mischief for some time, forcing the various pirate crews to fight under a common banner. Players must penetrate the location and kill the bosses before things get out of hand.
At BlizzCon 2017, Blizzard already gave an insight into the Freehold instance. Of course, the four boss fights are also known. It starts with Himmelskäpt’n Kragg, which some players may already know as a pirate card from Blizzard’s card game Hearthstone. The orc rides on his oversized parrot Sharkbait. Then it goes against three captains who form the Council o’ Captains. Namely, the leaders are Captain Raoul, Eudora, and Jolly. After a visit to the battle arena by Freehold and current champion Trothak, it’s on to the leader of the Irontide Raiders named Harlan Sweete.
Waycrest Manor
The Waycrest family manor plays a big role in Drustvar, because there is a curse here that causes all sorts of trouble. House Waycrest plays an important role in Kul Tiras, providing supplies for the fleet. After a long questline in Drustvar, the player will presumably counter the curse in Waycrest Manor.
Tol Dagor
Almost nothing is known about Tol Dagor. All that is known is that it is a prison island off the coast of Kul Tiras. inmates? Unknown! Maybe Hogger has found a new home again.
Shrine of the Storm
The Shrine of the Storm is located in Stormsong Valley. It is not yet known who the players will face off against here, but at the shrine the newly built ships usually receive the blessing of the priests before joining the Kul Tiras fleet. This is extremely important, especially in the valley, because almost all ships come from the local Sturmsang family.
Siege of Boralus
The final instance of the Alliance is the Siege of Boralus, the Alliance capital on Kul Tiras. The city is under siege by pirates and other evil forces, and players must work together to fight them. The best way to think of this dungeon is as a mix between the “Star Court” instance and the Pandaria raid “Siege of Orgrimmar,” where you fight directly in the city of Boralus.
For the Horde!
Atal’Dazar
While players at BlizzCon 2017 took a trip to Freehold on the Alliance side, the Horde headed to the ancient Tomb of Atal’Dazar. The final resting place is on Zandalar, high on Mount Mugamba in the region of Zuldazar. For many hundreds of years, the Zandalar buried their kings in the pyramids of Atal’Dazar. But the peace of the deceased ancestors is massively disturbed, because an old adversary is back in action and tries with all means to turn history in favor of the trolls: Zul. However, the mysterious prophet does not appear in Atal’Dazar himself, but sends his loyal lieutenant Yazma to do the dirty work.
The first enemy in the instance is Priestess Alun’za, a fanatical protector of the Golden Shrine. So she’s not only fighting the threat of Zul and Yazma, but also the player, who is actually trying to restore calm. Then it’s against Vol’kaal, Yazma’s former bodyguard, who has died. However, Yazma changes that quite quickly with her new powers, so a fight is inevitable. It’s then against an old troll god, a former loa named Rezan. However, this one is no longer the same after body and soul have separated. At the very end of Atal’Dazar waits Yazma, who harnesses the power of the spider loa Shadra. We already know Shadra from the Hinterlands, where we summon the nasty red spider during a quest line.
Temple of Sethraliss
The temple of the snake charmer Sethrak is located in the Vol’dun desert. Snakes should probably be on the agenda here as enemies.
The Underrot
The Underrot leads you under the earth of Nazmir Swamp. Here are not only ancient secrets about the Titans, but also the main source of corruption on Zandalar.
The King’s Rest
This instance is also located in the territory of Zuldazar in the sacred tombs of Atal’Dazar. This is a special dungeon that deals specifically with an ancient Zandalar king.
Kezan
What is it? Kezan? Yes, you heard right! Although Kezan is not part of either Zandalar or Kul Tiras, many players are already familiar with this island. It is the home of the goblins, who lived there in abundance for a long time, and who really contaminated the nature.
Now, with Battle for Azeroth, the greedy green fellows are back. And why? You’ve heard about azerite and its value. Now the goblins are digging deep into Azeroth to mine even more azerite. So the players return to Kezan and not only do they try to stop this action, but there’s a little sightseeing along the way. After all, something broke when Deathwing attacked back in the day.
Raid Uldir, Halls of Control
The first raid is already known. It is Uldir, the Halls of Control, a kind of quarantine station for the Titans. These Titans are also responsible for the creation of Uldir. The place was actually meant for the analysis and dissection of the old gods, but – as so often happens – something went very wrong. Old gods always mean trouble! The raid offers a total of eight boss fights and lots of action against fanatical trolls, undead, dinosaurs and undead dinosaurs!
What is WoW Classic?
World of Warcraft Classic is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.
Getting Started
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.
- Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
- Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
- Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
- Click the Play button when the installation is complete.
You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
