Children’s Week is currently finding its way into WoW Classic as well. If you take care of an orphan in Azeroth, you will be rewarded with one of three exclusive pets. We’ll tell you what you have to do in detail in our guide.
Children’s Week is one of the most rewarding holidays in WoW Classic. During this event, you can get one of three special pets. How this works and what you have to do to get one of these pets is explained in our guide. By the way: Children’s Week in WoW Classic lasts from May 1 to May 7, 2020.
During Children’s Week, the orphans of Azeroth are the focus of the event. Your task is to show an orphan the big wide world and let them participate in your adventures. To do this, you will need to complete a series of quests specific to your faction. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to choose one of three pets at the end:
Pig Collar ( Dr. Wobble )
Rat Cage ( Schurri the Rat )
Turtle Box ( Flinky )
If you want to collect all the pets, you will need to complete the event three times – so it will take you a total of three years to unlock all the pets. The pets are tied to the collection – so you can’t trade them or send them to another character on your account.
Children’s Week on the Alliance side
The Alliance quest line begins with the quest “The Week of Children” in Stormwind at the orphan matron Nightingale (47/39). From the matron you will receive the pipe of the human orphan. Call your orphan via the whistle and buy Skippis and Gunnis ice from Emmithue Smails in Stormwind (at 53/56) – you will need the ice later.
After that, complete the following quests, each of which you will receive from your summoned orphan:
The Eerie Lighthouse : Visit the lighthouse in Westfall (at 28/85) with your orphan.
The Stone Dam : Travel with your orphan to the Stone Dam in Loch Modan and go to its center (at 48/14).
The Tree of Eternity : Travel with your orphan to Darnassus and go to the bench that is in the middle of the city.
Delicious Ice Cream : Now give your orphan the ice cream you bought earlier in Stormwind.
Jaina’s Autograph : Your orphan would like an autograph from Jaina Proudmoore. You can find her in the tower of Theramore in Dustwallow Marsh (at 66/49). The fastest way to Theramore is to take the ship from Menethil or fly there from Darnassus.
Alliance Nanny : Return to the Stormwind Orphanage and receive your reward.
Children’s Week on the Horde Side
Just like the Alliance members, the Horde members also start the quest “The Children’s Week”, which they can accept in Orgrimmar from the Orphan Matron Battlewail (71/26) in the Orphanage of the capital. You will receive the Orcish Orphan Whistle, which you will use to summon your orphan. Buy Skippis and Gunnis ice from Alowicious Czervik (at 51/69) in the Valley of Strength before your orphan’s quests:
Down at the Docks : Visit the Ratchet Docks (at 63/38) with your orphan.
Gate to the Frontier : Travel with your orphan to the Barrens to the Frontier of Ashenvale (at 47/5).
The Throne Room of Lordaeron : Visit the old throne room above Undercity. The fastest way is to fly from the airfield in Ashenvale to Orgrimmar and take the airship to Undercity.
Delicious Ice Cream: Give your orphan the ice cream you bought earlier in Orgrimmar.
Cairne’s Hoofprint : Your orphan wants a hoofprint of Cairne Bluthoof. Therefore, visit the Tauren in Thunder Bluff (at 60/51).
Horde Nanny : Travel back to the Orphanage of Orgrimmar and get your reward.

World of Warcraft Classic is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.
Getting Started
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.
- Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
- Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
- Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
- Click the Play button when the installation is complete.
You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
