Until the start of the first Battleground Warsong Gulch in Phase 3 goes in WoW (buy now) Classic still some time into the country. The honor system only starts in phase 2 . Group PvP/Battlegrounds
magicianare by far the best class when it comes to group PvP or battlegrounds. In addition to the Priest, they are guaranteed to muzzle a healer with Improved Counterspell, have the ability to keep enemies under control almost forever with their frost effects like Frost Nova and the Freeze proc and Polymorph, and have a lot of burst potential. With lower ranks of Blizzard, for example, you defend points in the Arathi Basin almost automatically and simply move into the block of ice if things get tight. Mages also have the option to become a 3 Minute Mage. This style of play is a mix of arcane and fire, and requires a few different pieces of equipment.
Warriors need a babysitter to remove the Mage’s and other classes’ immobilisation effects, but they deal massive amounts of damage and Mortal Strike reduces the target’s healing received by a whopping 50 percent. With the right equipment and the sword specialization, you can also attack fragile targets to spirit healers.
In addition to their good healing power, priests offer the possibility of using magic banishment to cleanse other players of harmful magic effects and to remove useful buffs, procs and so on from opponents, which is absolutely worth its weight in gold because it makes Frost Mages easier to counter. Despite the cloth armor, the priest is not so easy to take down thanks to Inner Fire, which increases his armor considerably, unless several damage dealers choose the priest as a focus target at the same time.
Rogues are primarily needed in the Warsong Gulch battlefield, which was released first, to defend or recapture the flag. While stealthy, they deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time, slow flag bearers, and can control enemies with stuns and blinds. Combined with the Warlock’s DoTs and ability to terrify players almost permanently, healers have little chance of saving their target.
In elemental spec 30/0/21, shamans with the talents elemental fury and lightning mastery as well as nature’s swiftness have the ability to crush targets in a few seconds, similar to the three-minute mage . His group damage, heals, totems, and ability to remove buffs from the target make him one of the best PvP classes for battlegrounds and group open PvP. Removing beneficial effects is particularly useful against the almost invincible Holy Paladins , who often pull themselves out of trouble with Blessings of Protection and Blessings of Freedom.
Hunters make good defenders in Warsong Gulch, as attackers must first run through its Freezing Trap to get to the flag. With the right gear, they deal good damage to cloth wearers in particular, but are otherwise more concerned with replenishing Viper Bite (a poison that drains mana from the target).
Druids are worth their weight in gold as flag bearers in Warsong Gulch, especially at lower levels due to their mobility. At level 60 you can no longer use this strength quite as well and your healing and chances of survival are also rather meager compared to other healers. You’ve probably seen some PvP videos where edited montages show Paladin critically triggering the seal twice in a row or buff shaman plowing through three people at once with Windfury procs. In reality, however, the whole thing looks different – especially in group play.
Duels and Solo PvP
Warlocks , who place their talent points deep in the demonology tree, won’t make much of a difference on the battlefield, but are the undisputed number one when it comes to 1v1 duels. Some of the damage taken is transferred to the pet, thanks to Soul Link, which can be sacrificed twice through Fel Mastery, granting the Warlock a shield that absorbs massive amounts of damage. The witcher not only shines as a demonologist in 1vs1, but can quickly blow out the light on opponents with a succubus and the destruction style of play with conflagration, burning and shadow fire. Add to that Fear, a repeatable control spell, and the Healthstone and Bloodsuckers that he uses to quickly restore health.
Shadow Priests are similarly tough to Warlocks thanks to Power Word Shield, their Shadow Form, and Vampire Embrace. Already with a single DoT they do good damage and with the combination of Focused Will and Mind Blast they long faces the opponent. Proct then the talent Blackout (shadow spells have a chance to stun the target), in 1vs1 hardly any class has a chance against the shadow priest.
Mages and rogues also excel in 1v1 due to the same abilities that make them strong in Warsong Gulch, although they may need a cooldown or two to survive against some classes.
Hunters have a bigger advantage in 1v1 than in Mass Battle, as they are guaranteed to be able to incapacitate the target with Scatter Shot and Freezing Trap. However, kiting, observing the swing timer and the dead zone are tricky. In contrast to the group content, the situation is no different with the shaman : If Windfuror proct is the amplifier or the speed of nature and elemental mastery are ready as an elemental shaman, things will rattle in the box, otherwise you will have a hard time in one-on-one.
What is WoW Classic?
World of Warcraft Classic is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.
Getting Started
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.
- Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
- Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
- Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
- Click the Play button when the installation is complete.
You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
