WoW Classic will launch. Also included: the new 20-player raid Zul’Gurub, which also has a number of great enchantments for shoulder, head and trouser slots in its luggage. But how do you get the great enchantments? We’ll tell you!
Tonight at 23:59, we’ll be able to take on the bosses of the 20-player raid Zul’Gurub for the first time in WoW Classic. By regularly visiting the Troll City, we’ll gradually increase our reputation with the Zandalari tribe, which we find on Yojamba Island on the northwest coast of Stranglethorn Vale, and gain access to some great enchantments for our shoulder, head, and shoulder armor, including trouser slashes.
The New Shoulder Enchantments from Zul’Gurub
First, let’s take a look at the three new shoulder enchantments from the Zandalari tribe:
Zandalari Signet of Power
Zandalari Signet of Mojo
Zandalari Signet of Inner Serenity
To use these shoulder enchantments, you need an excellent reputation with the Zandalari tribe. On the other hand, you pay for each enchantment with 15 Zandalari honor coins. You can obtain these coins through the following repeatable quests:
A Jewel for Zanza
Razzashi coins, Hakkari coins and Zulian coins
Coins of Gurubashi, Vilebranch and Witherbark
Sandfury, Skullsplitter and Blood Scalp coins
Zul’Gurub’s new helmet and pants enchantments
Many vanilla veterans remember: the prerequisites for Zul’Gurub’s helmet and pants enchantments have changed over time, specifically, as of patch 1.11, players no longer had to obtain Dire Maul Librams to pay for the class-specific enchantments. Thanks to the public test server, we now know that Blizzard will be addressing this very issue with patch 1.12: Each of the following enchantments costs “only” one Primeval Hakkari Idol and one Pierced Voodoo Doll, plus you need a friendly reputation with the Zandalari tribe:
Warrior: Presence of Power (+10 Stamina, 7 Defense, 15 Shield Block Value).
Warlock: Hex of the Hoodoo (+10 Stamina, 18 Healing and Damage)
Druid: Caress of the Animist (+10 Stamina, 10 Intellect, 24 Healing Rating)
Mage: Omnipresent Sight (+18 healing and damage, 1 percent hit chance)
Rogue: Embrace of Death (+28 attack power, 1% dodge)
Shaman: Vigilant Embrace of the Vodouisant (+15 Intelligence, 13 healing and damage value)
Paladin: Seal of the Syncretist (+10 Stamina, 7 Defense, 24 Healing Value)
Hunter: Call of the Hawk (+24 Ranged Attack Power, 10 Stamina, 1% Hit Chance)
Priest: Prophetic Aura (+10 Stamina, 5 Mana per second, 24 Healing Value)
You will receive the Primal Hakkari Idol when you defeat the optional bosses Blood Lord Mandokir and Jin’do the Hexxer in Zul’Gurub – so there are only two idols per Zul’Gurub run. With any luck, you can find the voodoo dolls in the various enchanted hoodoo stacks within the raid instance. These are not soulbound and can also be bought or sold through the Auction House.
What is WoW Classic?
World of Warcraft Classic is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.
Getting Started
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.
- Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
- Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
- Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
- Click the Play button when the installation is complete.
You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
