Another journey through time awaits heroes from level 80, this time you can experience up close how Arthas wants to free the inhabitants of the city of Stratholme from the plague.
The new instance in the Caverns of Time takes your group to the well-known Stratholme. However, it is still intact here and you can witness the destruction. The entrance to the instance is in the western part of the cave, surrounded by residential buildings. To get to Tanaris and the Caverns of Time quickly, use the portal in Dalaran, located in the tower of the Violet Hold. Just run up the stairs behind Rhonin (coordinates: 31,48). The portal is there on the left. By the way, you can find Chromie in the instance – there she will give you her quest. If you die in the instance, you don’t have to go all the way to Stratholme again. Once you re-enter the instance, speak to Chromie and she will take you straight to town.

Before you set to work in Stratholme, you will be told one of the most important stories of the Warcraft universe in a cutscene outside the city: Arthas separates from his mentor Uther and his lover Jaina. He decides to wipe out the city after you find out that the grain is contaminated. After that, talk to Arthas in Stratholme to start the event.
In the first part of the instance, you have to neutralize ten waves of Scourge attacks. But nothing here is really attacked by the undead. While Arthas waits at the gate, it’s much more up to you to get to the elite enemies. The group walks through the still intact part of Stratholme, always in the direction of the flags marked on the map.
* Ghouls, crypt horrors and patchwork constructs supported by
necromancers and acolytes await you. Always concentrate your fire on the wizards or the lumbering golems and crypt beasts first. The weak ghouls that roam Stratholme en masse are particularly troublesome for mages, but can be quickly eliminated with a small area spell.
After the fourth group, the first and probably toughest boss of the instance appears: Meat Hook. Once he’s defeated, there are four more waves of the same attackers to crack, and then it’s on to the second boss Salramm, the Flesh Shaper.
Meet Arthas at the entrance of the town hall after you defeat Salramm. Talk to him and start the next event phase.
* At Arthas’ side, you will now defeat four groups of four attackers from the Infinite Dragonflight. Focus your damage on the Eternal Hunters, as they give their fellow dragons stacks of speed boosts and do a lot of damage.
Always give Arthas a head start when attacking groups. This way, you’ll prevent your tank from getting hit by all the enemies immediately, and you’ll be able to reduce the damage taken. As a paladin, Arthas likes to heal himself.
After the Chronolord epoch, more undead enemies that you already know await you. Always let the future Lich King attract enemies. Your tank will then take elite undead from him, and you’ll finish them off together. Always be careful not to attract more elite enemies in the melee, as this can quickly turn deadly. At the end of the road, the boss Mal’Ganis is waiting for you.

Getting Started
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.
- Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
- Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
- Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
- Click the Play button when the installation is complete.
You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
