Based on the previous experiences from the public test server for phase 2 of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic , we have to adapt or expand our guide to the resistance equipment required for TBC Classic . Because one thing is clear: Anyone who challenges Raid Boss High Astromancer Solarian without arcane resistances will quickly bless the time.
Here are the most important mechanics of the boss fight that affect arcane damage:
The boss applies a non-removable debuff that stacks and progressively throttles the raid’s arcane resistance.
The boss applies the Wrath of the Astromancer debuff, which stacks, spreads to nearby players, and progressively increases Arcane spell damage.
The victims of the arcane missiles quickly take a lot of damage, which also becomes more and more severe as the fight progresses – thanks to the debuffs mentioned above.
To control the Wrath of the Astromancer debuff, you must designate two players as “arcane tanks” who bounce the effect back and forth outside of the raid. If another player gets the debuff, they take it to the “Arcane Tanks”. These arcane tanks absolutely need as much arcane resistance as possible. With successful kills on the PTR, these “arcane tanks” had around 340 to 350 arcane resistance, the maximum is 365 in TBC. Warlocks are particularly useful here. A lot of arcane damage also rains down on the rest of the raid. So much that you can make your life noticeably easier if each player wears at least three or four items with arcane resistance.
WoW TBC Classic: Arcane Resistance items for all players
Here are four items with arcane resistance that all players who want to visit Tempest Keep on a regular basis should have:
Purple Badge : Receive New Instructions through the Karazhan quest.
Pendant of the Null Rune : Can be crafted by a Jeweler.
Cloak of Arcane Evasion : Can be made by a Tailor.
Ring of Arcane Protection : Can be made by a Jeweler.
These four items alone bring you 137 arcane resistance. In addition, you can pack another 15 arcane resistance as an enchantment on the cloak, take the buff food Fried Bloodfin and Mark of the Wild will of course also provide you with resistances.
WoW TBC Classic: Arcane resistance items for the arcane tanks
The two arcane tanks need to add more items with arcane resistance to the items listed above. Two three-part fabric sets play a particularly important role here, but you can only wear a maximum of five parts:
