FIFA now gives you even more options to customize your stadium. No matter how you imagine your stadium, FIFA 21 makes it possible. And the best part? It won’t cost you anything!
As far as the game mechanics are concerned, FIFA 21 doesn’t differ much from FIFA 20. A few cool tricks here, a few new players there… But there is one innovative feature for the FUT mode: the home stadiums.
You can now design your stadium exactly the way you want it. And now watch out, because the best is yet to come: it doesn’t cost any money! You heard right, EA has implemented a feature that costs NO MONEY! Are you all right EA, are you sick?
All stadium features can be unlocked via missions. Just go to the missions tab and check it out for yourself.
Match Day
Under Match Day you will find the stuff that was already available in FIFA 20: Ball, player cheers etc. But there are also some new things to find here: Goal song for example determines which song comes when you score. Club nickname is the name that commentators use during the match when they talk about you. That would be something like: The Eisernen, the Werks-Elf, the Relegated…. you know what I mean.
Spectators
Under this tab you can set the main theme of your stadium. How about Darude Sandstorm? You can also set the choreos of the spectators in different places. And if you don’t trust your own fans, you can steal the stadium atmosphere from famous stadiums. Feel it, celebrate it!
Sideline
Here you can place your trophies. Of course, who doesn’t know the problem of having too many trophies…
Structure
The best comes at the end, which was also my motto in school sports. In FIFA 21 you can completely customize the look of your stadium. There are three different sizes you can choose from.
The smallest one offers the least possibilities to let off steam. The largest is the “Champions Stadium” and that, logically, offers the most options. If you don’t feel like building something, you can just buy real stadiums. You can play in the Allianz Arena, Santiago Bernabeu or Old Trafford, just like in the previous game. You can also use these stadiums as templates and customize them additionally. How cool is that?
But what can you change now? Well, for example, the color of the stadium, or the seats. You can also customize the turf along with the pattern and line color. Why not red, or blue? White lines are so 2020… You can also change the goal. Other net color? No problem! Only the size can’t be changed for some reason…
Also quite nice: When you shoot a goal you can set effects. Something like that is not so popular in Europe, but the s**t in MSL. Flames, confetti cannons, sparklers or fireworks – hell yeah. That must be so humbling as a goalkeeper. Well, whoever likes it…
FIFA 22 – FUTs
What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.
EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME
Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.
In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
