Battle of Tillet

Sam’s first confirmed deployment was to Tillet, Belgium on January 9, 1945. Along with the 761st Panzer Battalion, he attempted to retake the Belgian town of Tillet with a number of Sherman tanks and to reduce or eradicate German activity.
