Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
Ursa: “I defend what is mine.”
Ulfsaar, the Ursa Warrior, is an agility hero from DotA and Dota 2. The melee hero belongs to the Radiant and is an extremely powerful melee fighter and very strong agility hero, whose abilities allow him to kill or heavily damage enemy units at lightning speed. This also makes it possible for him to defeat Roshan single-handedly very early in the game. In the game, he can take on the role of a Carry, Jungler, and Durabler. Earthshock lets Ursa damage and temporarily slow down nearby enemies. Overpower massively increases Ursa’s attack speed for a certain number of attacks, and his passive ability Fury Swipes lets him deal additional damage with each hit he deals to a unit in melee. In doing so, this damage is increased with each hit and can theoretically be added up infinitely, but only remains added up for a limited amount of time. Ursa’s Ultimate Enrage allows him to prevent additional damage while continuing to tear his prey apart unhindered. Aghanim’s Scepter reduces the cooldown of the ultimate and allows it to be used even when Ursa is incapacitated.
Ursa- Hype
With each swipe of his claws, Ursa increases his target’s vulnerability to his next attack. Capable of briefly increasing how swiftly he can strike, and able to slow down nearby prey, he quickly tears apart his enemies.
