Last year Damwon Gaming won the 2020 World Championship in Shanghai, China. At that time no player knew which champion would get a LoL World Championship skin, but the wait is finally over! We have splash art of the World Championship skins!
Which champions will get World Championship Skins?
Five Champion Skins were announced – because Damwon Gaming had 5 players during the 2020 World Championship, duh. Nuguri gets a Kennen skin, Canyon gets a Nidalee skin, ShowMaker gets a Twisted Fate skin, and the Bot Lane duo Ghost and BeryL get a Jhin and Leona skin.

These champions are getting championship skins for the first time! All except Jhin at least, because he already got a SKT T1 skin in 2016. By the way, it was designed by Bang at that time!
What is the theme of the 2020 World Championship skins?
In the first LCK Finale press conference ShowMaker said that the team wanted a theme ála Greek/Roman mythology. You can see that. Each of these champions should represent a god.
Jhin represents Apollo, which is easily recognizable by the Lorber wreath. Apollo is also the god of archery and somehow Jhin is also one of them… in a way.
Twisted Fate is supposed to be Hermes, the fast messenger of the gods. Twisted Fate’s story definitely fits with Hermes’. The god for travelers, thieves and merchants… nice!
The Kennen skin of Nuguri seems to be Zeus. Both have thunder and lightning as weapons… so it’s clear why Kennen should be Zeus, isn’t it?
Nidalee, the huntress, fits perfectly with Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. However, she could also represent Poseidon. Just look at her spear. So you can’t be sure about her yet.
BeryL has chosen Leona, who is just a perfect match for Athena. Athena is the protector of cities and is often seen with a big shield. Sounds like Leona? We think so too. BeryL had one more wish for his World Championship skin, though. He wanted the skin to look like his waifu, Saren Sasaki from Princess Connect. Definitely got his wish, didn’t he?
When will the LoL Dam won World Championship Skins be released?
Currently, there is no release date for the Damwon World Championship Skins. By the way, there are no in-game videos yet. So far we only have the splash art from above. So this means that we might have to wait a few more months until we can finally buy these awesome skins!
Until then, we’ll just watch this year’s LCK Finals. On 10.04 at 10 am Dam won KIA will play against Gen. G. Don’t miss it!

Champion skin
Champion skin (or skin for short) refers to the color scheme or appearance of a champion. Most champion skins can be purchased in the Riot Shop with Riot Points, while others are/were only available for special events/promotions. However, some selected chroma skins (color-changed skins)can be purchased at special events for Blue Essence. Some champion skins bring new particles for visual effects, quotes and sound effects. Each skin has its own splashart, which is displayed in the champion selection and loading screen. Since patch 7.16, the custom champion image is also matched to the skin in the game itself.

What is League of Legends (“LoL”) about?
In a classic game of “League of Legends,” two teams each have five characters called champions, each with individual characteristics.
