Back Alley is a Hostage Scenario map from Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive . Backalley takes place in the nocturnal backyards and alleys of a residential area. Originally released during the Counter-Strike beta , the GO Remake created by H.Grunt was submitted to the Steam Workshop on February 08, 2013 and was part of Operation Operation Vanguard from November 11, 2014 to February 10, 2015 and was thus temporarily back in the official map canon.
Construction
Back Alley is set in a somewhat poorer residential area of a major US city. Therefore, the map takes place in narrow alleys, corridors and backyards. The terrorists spawn on Back Alley in a basement near the hostages in the living quarters.

Counter Strike
The original version of Back Alley was created by Jamie Mactaggart and appeared in version 5.0 of the Counter-Strike beta . Although it was also included in the final version of the game, it did not enjoy great popularity and was therefore not used in the later titles in the series.
Global Offensive
After there hasn’t been a version of Back Alley since CS 1.6, user H.Grunt created a newer version of the map, which he submitted to the Steam Workshop on February 08, 2013. This was temporarily incorporated into the official map canon by Valve with Operation Vanguard on November 11, 2014, before the operation ended on February 10, 2015.
