Doomfist’s cybernetic implants make him a mobile front-line fighter with a lot of penetrating power. With his hand cannon he also causes ranged damage, but his strength lies in close combat: With one blow Doomfist makes the earth tremble, hurls opponents into the air or makes them stagger, or he plunges into the middle of the fray with his steam hammer. Doomfist attacks closely spaced enemies by jumping out of sight and then hitting the ground with a spectacular meteor strike.

After his recent escape from a maximum security prison, Doomfist is determined to plunge the world into a new conflict from which he believes humanity will emerge stronger.
Akande Ogundimu comes from one of Nigeria’s most prestigious families and is heir to a prosthetic technology company. With his uncommon intelligence and charisma, he played a major role in expanding his family’s business and setting it up for the future. On the other hand, he devoted his free time entirely to his great passion: competitive martial arts. He trained wrestling and other modern fighting systems as well as traditional African fighting styles such as Dambe and Gidigbo. He incorporated the most effective techniques from these into his repertoire. In competitions in all parts of the African continent, he relied both on his incredible speed and strength, and on his intuition and ability to anticipate his opponent’s next move.
In the times following the Omnic crisis, however, Ogundimu lost his right arm. His martial arts career seemed to come to an abrupt end even before he could reach his full potential. Thanks to a cybernetic prosthesis provided by his company, he recovered from his injuries and became even stronger, but this meant he was no longer eligible to compete. Ogundimu initially tried to fill the gap in his life by putting all his energy into running his company. Soon, however, he had to realize that this did not help. A way out was finally offered by Akinjide Adeyemi, better known as the second Doomfist, the Devastator of Numbani.
Adeyemi offered Ogundimu to fight with him as a mercenary. Although suspicious at first, Ogundimu accepted the offer. He discovered a whole new field in which he could use his improved skills without restriction. Adeyemi eventually made him a member of the Talon organization. Talon’s philosophy that conflict advances the development of humanity resonated with Ogundimu. Much of this approach reminded him of his personal experiences. Additionally, he recognized a new challenge in Talon’s struggle for influence. Here he could combine his organizational talents with his superior skills in combat.
Adeyemi was a valuable member for Talon, but the organization recognized the tremendous potential of Ogundimu with his intelligence and leadership skills. While Adeyemi was limited to raids in Numbani, Ogundimu had higher goals. His ambition led Ogundimu to kill his former teacher and assume the identity of Doomfist, along with the namesake glove.
As the new Doomfist, Ogundimu rose through the ranks of Talon. He helped orchestrate a conflict that Talon calculated would one day sweep the entire world. Before that plan bore fruit, however, Ogundimu was arrested. An Overwatch task force with Tracer, Winston and Genji defeated him and captured him. He spent many years in a maximum security prison, patiently waiting for the events set in motion to take effect.
Finally, he realized that the time had come for him to return. He broke out of prison and took control of Doomfist’s glove. A group of Numbani’s OR15 series defensive robots that had just been pressed into service tried in vain to stop him. Now, having resumed his place in Talon’s inner circle, he is preparing to unleash a war that will once again sweep the world.
OVERWATCH HEROES
Heroes are the main element in the game Overwatch, as the player can freely choose between them and their class and later play them.
In Overwatch you’ll find a variety of heroes: from the time-traveling adventurer to the armored, rocket-hammer-wielding warrior to the meditating robot monk. Each of the heroes plays differently, so mastering their abilities will only unlock their full potential. No two heroes are alike.
In Overwatch you can expect an international team of powerful heroes, each of whom has made a name for himself in his own way.
OVERWATCH
Overwatch is a team-based 6vs6 shooter that was released on May 24, 2016. Overwatch stays true to the true style of Blizzard’s previous titles. It was developed by Jeff Kaplan and is considered a “new concept” shooter in the FPS genre. The game was officially unveiled at BlizzCon along with 12 heroes on November 7, 2014.
The story of Overwatch is set on a highly fictionalized future version of Earth. In a time where humans and robots, which are called Omnics, live together (Chris Metzen hinted that the story deals with this very robot race). 30 years before the time when Overwatch takes place, the so-called “Omnic Crisis ” occurred. The robots, once helpers of humans, rebelled against their creators for reasons as yet unknown and triggered a worldwide chaos. Faced with the imminent destruction of human civilization, the best soldiers of all nations came together to form a program called “Overwatch”.
Their job was to protect the world from the Omnics, which they succeeded in doing. For the next 25 years, they were the protectors of the planet, united in an international coalition. Some agents stayed, some were replaced, but at some point something changed: the Overwatch disintegrated. However, 5 years later after this event, incidents with Omnics are again accumulating, a worldwide terrorist organization also seems interested in destabilizing the world order. A new crisis is looming. At this point, your career as an Overwatch agent begins.
