Fun fact: ALoLa Knogga was a Tier 4 raid boss in Pokémon Go before the changes to the former five-stage raids and was really nasty alone or in pairs! If you didn’t prepare with the best counters, you were beaten in most cases not by Knogga himself, but by the battle timer, because the pocket monster could take super much damage.
In the meantime, however, the ALoLa mon is a tier 3 raid boss, but still has quite a bit of fighting power to offer. The Knogga from the Kanto region is of the ground type. Its cousin from the ALoLa region, however, has adapted to the habitats there and has the Fire and Spirit types – so you can’t score points with the same counters as for Kanto Knogga. Its body is much darker, its skull has a mark on its forehead, and the bone it carries is wrapped in blue-green flames at the ends. Sweet.
Important: Tragosso does NOT evolve into ALoLa Knogga in Pokémon Go, but into Knogga from the Kanto region!
ALoLa-Knogga as a raid boss
As mentioned above, ALoLa-Knogga is of the Fire and Spirit type. So, attackers who are capable of attacks of the type ground, rock, spirit, water or unlight are your best choice here. The attacks are boosted in the order mentioned by the following weather change: Sunny/Clear, Cloudy, Fog, Rain and Fog again. ALoLa-Knogga puts 13,525 CP against you, which you must bring to zero in order to catch it. The Pokémon is doable as a solo player. However, if your trainer level isn’t that high yet or you don’t have any good counters up your sleeve, then you should team up with a few other players. Once you’ve defeated ALoLa Knogga, it’s down to the nitty-gritty – Pokéball away! At level 20, the representative from the ALoLa region has 1048 CP with a 100% IV value. If the Pokémon is boosted to level 25 in sunny, clear weather or fog, it has 1311 CP with perfect 100% IV values. Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy.
