With the revision of the Mega evolution in Pokémon Go, Mega Pokémon are becoming much more interesting again, but not all of them are available in Pokémon Go yet. Mega evolution is a concept in the main Pokémon series that was introduced in the 6th game generation and made it possible for the first time to evolve a Pokémon beyond its original powers for a short period of time. The prerequisite for this: a strong bond had to exist between trainer and Pokémon for this to happen. Only when the trust in each other was so strong that nothing could shake it, would the mega-evolution be triggered.

The fact that things work in the main Pokémon series that Pokémon Go players can only dream of will be a familiar concept to most players. In Pokémon Go, such close bonds between trainer and mon are theoretically possible; however, the buddy function does not come into play there. Pokémon GO
