In Pokémon Go, the developers at Niantic have also unlocked a new Pokémon – Farbeagle – along with the Snapshot feature. In order to add the rascal to your collection, you should know a few things about how often and when Farbeagle can appear at all. That’s why we’ve put together a short guide.
Ever since the developers of Pokémon Go enabled the Snapshot feature in the popular AR app for iOS and Android devices, you’ve been able to add the Gen 2 Pokémon Farbeagle to your collection. However, Farbeagle doesn’t just appear in the wild, but must first condescend to bomb a photo you’ve taken with its presence via Pokémon Go’s Snapshot feature. There are also some rules that Farbeagle abides by and some hints for you to make sure you don’t just fill up your phone memory with pictures. We’ll give you an overview in our short guide.
Basically, the snapshot function works as follows:
- Use the camera in your inventory or the camera icon in your Pokébox to access the snapshot function.
- Look around: Do you spot a glint in a certain spot around you? Do you see paw prints or other yellow marks on the ground? If so, that’s the place to release your selected Pokémon with a press of the Touch Screen.
- Take a picture of your Pokémon. If you touch it with your finger, you can make it perform cool poses.
Farbeagle can only bomb one of your photos once a day, so you can catch a maximum of one a day in Pokémon Go. It’s important for you to know that Farbeagle can only appear in the first picture of a photo session, as confirmed by the developers at Niantic. So it doesn’t make sense to shoot a Pokémon in continuous mode, because only the first picture is important when you’re hunting for Farbeagle.
By the way: Color agle is then shown on a second, additionally created photo, which is a copy of the first one, so that you still have the actually captured subject without photobomb maneuver. By the way: In the bottom right corner of the snapshot mode, a pulsating circle is displayed when you have taken a picture. If the circle pulses once, then Farbeagle has not gone into action. But if the circle pulses three times, then you should take a look at your snapshots. Other details are also interesting for you:
- Farbeagle appears in your environment for an hour after he bombs a picture of you, and then disappears again.
- Farbeagle is not a guaranteed catch, it can run away like any other pocket monster you encounter in the wild.
- Farbeagle cannot be boosted by weather.
- Farbeagle does take over instant and charge attack of the mons you shoot, but for one thing, it can’t learn all attacks (for example, it can’t learn “Shifter” from Ditto). Secondly, the IV and level of the color agle that you can banish to your ball is not based on the Pokémon that you photographed.
With Farbeagle, a new medal has been introduced that counts your encounters with Farbeagle. Bronze is achieved after ten Farbeagle Photobombs, Silver after Farbeagle has appeared fifty times, and Gold after two hundred encounters with the Pokémon. Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
