PoGO – Pokémon Go: New Pokémon at the Color Festival - Collector Challenge Guide

Pokémon Go is now celebrating the Color Festival, starting March 15, 2022, and the event brings all sorts of new Pokémon to the game. You can look forward to a collector challenge, as well as Flamenco, Cheerleading, Hula, and Buyo style choreo gels. Also on board: Papinella and Pudox. March 15, 2022 update: Happy Color Festival to all Pokémon Go trainers out there, as things get colorful in-game starting at 10:00 AM. Remember that new pocket monsters appearing in Pokémon Go are regionally curled: Flamenco-style Choreogel appears in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Cheerleading-style Choreogel appears in the Americas, Hula-style Choreogel in the African, Asian, Pacific and Caribbean islands – New Zealand and Australia, by the way, appear to be among the Pacific islands. Buyo style choreogel appears in the Asia-Pacific region. Below we still have the promised information about the collector challenge that you can do for the color festival!

Color Festival Collector’s Challenge.

To grab progress on the top collector medal, plus 20,000 XP and 3,000 stardust, as well as an encounter with a choreo angel based on where you complete the challenge, you’ll need to complete the following tasks:

Event field researches

The researches that are unlocked for the event will present you with the following tasks and reward you with the following rewards:

Catch 3 Plant-type Pokémon: Encounter Bisasam and 20 x Bisaflor Mega Energy.
Catch 3 Water-type Pokémon: encounter with Schiggy and 20 x Turtok Mega Energy
Catch 3 Fire-type Pokémon: encounter Glumanda and 20 x Glurak Mega Energy
Hatch 1 egg: Encounter with Sleima
Catch 5 different types of Pokémon: encounter with Formeo (normal, sun, rain and snow possible)
Catch 8 different types of Pokémon: encounter with Burmy (sand, plant and rag possible)
Catch 10 different types of Pokémon: encounter with Choreogel (based on your location, in Europe it’s Flamenco)

Color Festival in Pokémon Go

The event starts on March 15, 2022 at 10:00 am and ends on March 20, 2022 at 8:00 pm. The following bonuses await you:

Activated lure modules last for three hours.
Take snapshots every day during the event; if you’re lucky, you’ll encounter a dazzling Pokémon.
The dance Pokémon Choreogel appears for the first time during the event. Flamenco-style Choreogel appears in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Cheerleading-style Choreogel appears in the Americas, Hula-style Choreogel appears in the African, Asian, Pacific and Caribbean islands. Buyo style choreogel appears in the Asia-Pacific region.

Traumato, Seeper, Skorgla, Schneckmag, Schwalbini, Knacklion, Chelast, Glibunkel, Dartiri, Choreogel (Flamenco Style), Choreogel (Cheerleading Style), Choreogel (Hula Style), Choreogel (Buyo Style), Papinella, Pudox, and Mamolida appear in the wild.
Via completing field research, you can get Bisasam, Schiggy, Glumanda, ALoLa-Sleima, Formeo, Formeo (Sun Form), Formeo (Rain Form), Formeo (Snow Form), Burmy (Plant Cloak), Burmy (Sand Cloak), Burmy (Rag Cloak), Choreogel (Flamenco Style), Choreogel (Cheerleading Style), Choreogel (Hula Style), and Choreogel (Buyo Style). Choreogel’s style depends on where you are.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps.
